Saadi

Saadi makes Indian cooking the focus of a small Punch Lane restaurant, with seasonal produce, pickles, ferments and house-made chutneys shaping the meal. Saavni Krishnan and Aditya Suresh began with a pop-up before opening this permanent home. The open kitchen and counter seating bring the preparation close to the dining room.

Choose the service before choosing the time. Tuesday to Thursday offers à la carte; Friday and Saturday have a four-course set menu at A$95 per person. The A$55 Quick Fix is a shorter, two-course option with last seating at 18:15. It can fit an early evening in the CBD, but should not be squeezed against a late circuit departure.

Put Saadi on a pre-race evening or reserve a later dinner with enough time to leave Albert Park. Sunday and Monday are closed. Tell the restaurant about dietary and access requirements when booking, including whether counter seating or the upper level would suit your group. Menus change with the season, so choose the experience without relying on a particular photographed dish.
