PowerPlay Moorabbin
Electric karting on an indoor two-level track; book one race or a same-day package in Moorabbin.
01 / The experience
Electric karting over ramps and bridges in Moorabbin.
Drive the two-level indoor track in electric karts, with separate adult and junior prices and family racing from age 10.
PowerPlay Moorabbin turns a warehouse into a two-level electric-kart track, with ramps, bridges and bends that give each lap a different rhythm. Choose it for an active outing with friends or a family session, especially when you want an indoor option. These are single-seat karts: every driver controls their own vehicle and takes part in a safety briefing before racing.
An adult single race costs A$39.50, while juniors aged 10–15 pay A$36.50. The adult format includes 18 racing laps and juniors 15, plus a warm-up and cool-down, with a maximum of about ten minutes on the track. Each session takes roughly 15–20 minutes including preparation. Two races cost A$69.50 for adults or A$66.50 for juniors; leave more time for the wait between sessions. Bring a balaclava or allow another A$4.50 to buy one, and use all package races on the same day.
Eligibility matters before you book: drivers must be at least 10, at least 140 cm tall and under 120 kg. Wear fully enclosed shoes and arrive early enough for check-in, the waiver, helmet fitting and instructions. A parent or guardian must sign for anyone under 18. Adults and juniors can race together as the same family, while unrelated adult and junior racers are kept in separate sessions. The zero-alcohol rule applies to every driver.
The venue is on Cochranes Road in Moorabbin, south-east of central Melbourne. Give the journey and karting their own block of time; one race works as a short activity, while a multi-race package is a longer outing. The indoor track is air-conditioned. Saturday starts at 09:00, with a 10:00 opening on other days and a 21:00 close. Christmas Day and Boxing Day are closed.
