Bellota brings a wine-bar evening and a European meal together on Bank Street in South Melbourne, beside Prince Wine Store. Choose a glass, tasting pour or half-bottle carafe, or browse the neighbouring bottle shop before settling in. If you take a store bottle into the bar, the cost is the bottle’s shelf price plus corkage; ask for the current corkage charge before making your selection.
The food menu gives you enough choice for a snack, lunch or a complete dinner. Oysters, salumi, croquetas and duck rillettes crostini sit alongside crab spaghettini, risotto, trout and porterhouse. A small crab pasta, crostini and dessert make an A$69 food example per person before wine. Pick the size and dishes that suit your appetite, then add your actual drinks; a food-only example cannot cover a special bottle or several Coravin pours.
Drinks and snack visits use walk-in space, while reservations are for guests eating lunch or dinner. Inside online bookings are for up to four guests and seating may be at the front bar, back banquette or bar. Early dinner bookings have a two-hour limit; 20:30 onwards is suggested for a longer evening. Normal trading is Tuesday–Saturday 12:00–23:00, with Sunday, Monday and public holidays closed. This is a practical pre-weekend or Saturday choice near South Melbourne, with the Bank Street entrance and tram routes 96, 12 and 1 serving the neighbourhood.
