Rooftop Bar (Curtin House)

Head to the seventh floor of Curtin House for an open-air break above Swanston Street. Rooftop Bar is an easy place to combine a drink with a Burger Shack burger and a look across the CBD. Choose it for a relaxed city afternoon or an evening after dinner, leaving room for the weather and any wait at the entrance. The current rooftop experience is a bar and terrace; film screenings are not part of the visit.

Keep the food timing separate from the bar timing. Burgers are served from noon until 21:00 Sunday–Thursday and 22:00 Friday–Saturday, while the bar normally stays open until 01:00. A cheeseburger is A$17 and a side of fries adds A$5; a Silky Apple cocktail is A$22. You can build a modest burger stop or stay for another round without committing to a full restaurant dinner. Menu choices, fees and any weekday promotions depend on your visit date.

This is a walk-in venue with no reservations or private-function bookings. At capacity the door works one-in, one-out, so give it flexibility rather than a tightly timed slot. Enter at 252 Swanston Street and take the lift to level 6, then climb the final flight to the roof. The terrace is not wheelchair accessible. Rain protection is limited, and very hot days can delay opening until early evening. Plan a sheltered alternative when the forecast would make an outdoor visit uncomfortable.
