Pedernales Falls State Park
Reserve a Hill Country walking day with flash-flood and swimming limits understood.
01 / The experience
Pedernales Falls State Park
Pedernales Falls is the outdoor alternative for a Hill Country extension, with limestone river scenery and trails. Treat it as a substantial visit rather than a quick photo stop, and select walks for your group’s mobility and the day’s conditions.
The park often reaches capacity, so reserve day entry. Swimming and wading are prohibited in the falls area, flash flooding can develop quickly and trails may close in poor weather. The swimming area is elsewhere and requires a strenuous approach with steep rock steps.
