Hotel → departure → COTAChoose the whole journey before buying a shuttle pass
- Waterloo Park shuttle
- Reach Waterloo Park using the departure instructions on your pass. The downtown service arrives on the Grand Plaza side of COTA; continue to the entrance and seat shown on your race ticket. Advertised from $49; select the date and pass duration before comparing totals.
- Travis County Expo Center shuttle
- Arrange travel from your hotel to the Expo Center. The 2026 parking map places this arrival at McAngus; follow the signed tram connection to Grand Plaza and confirm boarding instructions with staff. Advertised from $34; select the date and pass duration before comparing totals.
- Park ’n Ride
- Follow the origin and approach on your parking pass. The COTA arrival is near Turn 11, separate from the downtown and Expo services. Check the parking seller for the correct lot, days and shuttle inclusion.
- McAngus rideshare
- Follow the McAngus drop-off instructions in your booking. Rideshare cannot use the restricted section of COTA Boulevard. Take the complimentary tram from North McAngus to Grand Plaza, then follow your ticket’s entrance instructions. Price and pickup availability depend on your booking.
Race admission and transport are separate purchases. Downtown shuttles arrive at Grand Plaza; Expo and rideshare arrivals use McAngus with an onward tram connection. Follow the instructions for your own pass.
Outward and returnKeep the last shuttle in your race-day plan
- First services
- Plan for approximately 08:00 Friday and 07:30 Saturday and Sunday. Official shuttles start about an hour before public gates open; confirm departures with your pass provider. Arrange Thursday travel separately.
- Sunday morning
- COTA expects the busiest shuttle travel between 09:30 and 12:15. Aim for an earlier departure and allow time for queues and the onward walk to your viewing area.
- Last trip towards COTA
- Friday and Saturday: 18:30. Sunday: 14:00. Allow for reaching your departure point and joining the queue.
- After Friday and Saturday concerts
- Return services finish 60 minutes after the music ends. Start your walk to the correct return queue with enough time to spare.
- After Sunday’s race and Alesso
- COTA lists continuous Sunday shuttle service throughout the day, but has not published a final return time. Alesso starts at 17:30; confirm your return with the pass provider before staying. Arrange the last journey from the shuttle destination to your hotel.
- Boarding and accessibility
- Have your mobile ticket ready at your chosen departure. Keep the colour-coded wristband for the matching return service. Accessible off-site shuttle travel is available upon request: call 512-301-6600, extension 0, before travelling. Contact ada@thecircuit.com to arrange assistance between your arrival area, entrance and accessible seat.
- Waterloo Park shuttle · return
- Use the downtown return queue and matching wristband, then complete the separate journey from Waterloo Park to your hotel.
- Travis County Expo Center shuttle · return
- Confirm the Expo return loading point with staff and board the service matching your wristband. Keep your onward hotel pickup separate.
- Park ’n Ride · return
- Use the return service for your own parking pass and confirm its final departure before leaving the vehicle.
- McAngus rideshare · return
- Leave time to reach the signed McAngus pickup area, then follow the meeting point in the app. Account for queues and variable fares.
Children aged three and under ride the official shuttle free. A transaction is limited to eight passes. Standby passes may be offered but are not guaranteed.

Choose your baseKeep the hotel connection in both halves of your journey
- Downtown, Rainey Street and the lakefront
- Compare the actual walking or local-transfer route from your hotel to Waterloo Park. A downtown address does not mean the shuttle departs at your door. Plan the same connection after the return bus.
- East Austin
- Arrange a local transfer to Waterloo Park or the Expo Center, then buy the matching shuttle pass. Confirm how you will reach your hotel after the return bus, especially after concerts.
- South Austin and Commodore Perry Estate
- Choose a booked transfer to a shuttle departure or permitted circuit arrival. Confirm both pickups with your driver; accommodation does not automatically include a race transfer.
- Arrival at AUS
- Arrange the airport-to-hotel journey separately from the race-day shuttle. Follow the airport and your booked operator’s current pickup instructions.
Camping arrivals and returnsPlan the journey to camp, then the circuit
- Lot N arrival
- Use Elroy Road and the separate Lot N entrance. COTA Boulevard is not the Lot N check-in approach. Carry your confirmation and arrive during reception hours.
- Airport and luggage
- Arrange a vehicle that accepts your group and camping equipment, with the exact campsite handoff agreed in advance. The Friday–Sunday race shuttle does not establish a Thursday campsite drop-off or Monday airport return.
- Local movement
- Lot N’s operator advertises free shuttles at Turns 3 and 6. Confirm their stops, hours and accessibility at reception; no timed connection to your seat or concert is promised.
- After the concerts
- Confirm the open route and campsite re-entry before leaving. An internal shuttle and a city shuttle are different services. For a city outing, arrange both journeys and a permitted pickup; keep a meal at camp for a late return.
- Monday departure
- Checkout is by noon on 26 October. Allow time for packing, waste disposal, rental-vehicle handover and your onward transfer. Arrange any earlier exit with staff.

Arrival & return advice
Choose your entrance: Use the recommended public approach for your viewing area. Club SI uses exclusive Gate 14 beside Lot D; other hospitality guests should follow their host’s check-in instructions.
Gate opening times: 22 October: 11:30. 23 October: 09:00. 24–25 October: 08:30. All times are Austin local time.
Trams & rideshare: Complimentary trams run around the circuit perimeter during the event. Rideshare uses North McAngus, with a complimentary tram transfer to Grand Plaza.
Return journey: Waterloo Park, Travis County Expo Center and Park ’n Ride are separate services. Use the pickup instructions on your transport pass.
Stations & pickup points
From Waterloo Park. Follow the current shuttle signage toward Grand Plaza; the marker is the arrival area, not a numbered bay.
From Travis County Expo Center. Follow the McAngus transfer signs towards Grand Plaza, then continue to your recommended entrance.
Rideshare uses North McAngus. Take the complimentary tram to Grand Plaza; rideshare vehicles cannot use COTA Boulevard.
This drop-off is near Turn 11, separate from both the downtown and Expo Center shuttles. Match the return service to your parking pass.
