01 / The experience
LBJ Visitor Center · Johnson City
Use the National Park Service visitor centre to understand the Johnson City district before choosing a ranger programme, the boyhood-home area or the settlement trails. The centre has exhibits, films and staff who can explain what is open that day.
This is the Johnson City visitor centre at 100 Ladybird Lane. It is not the separate Stonewall state-park visitor centre or the currently closed ranch hangar contact station. Confirm tours and site access on arrival rather than assuming every ranch building is open.
