Spago
California cooking, house-made pasta and a separate vegan menu beside Bellagio’s lake; patio seating is by request.
01 / The experience
Wolfgang Puck’s California cooking beside the Bellagio lake.
Spago is an easy restaurant to choose for a mixed table. Some guests may want pasta or a wood-oven pizza, others fish or a more substantial meat dish, and the kitchen's California approach gives those choices a coherent home. Its Bellagio setting adds the lake outside the glass and the possibility of a patio table. For a special lunch or dinner, that is a strong combination without committing everyone to a fixed tasting menu.
The menu is broad, but it has more identity than a collection of international hotel staples. House-made pastas sit alongside market-led dishes and seafood. Porcini agnolotti offers a rich pasta direction; garganelli with rabbit confit is a more substantial choice. A miso-glazed salmon salad makes sense for someone who wants a lighter meal, while a prime beef burger keeps brunch approachable. Read the current menu for the dishes available on your date rather than expecting every example at both services.
Vegetarian and vegan guests have more to consider here than a side salad. The separate vegan menu includes wild mushroom risotto with maitake and thyme, and cauliflower steak with tahini, garbanzo beans and chermoula. Those combinations make Spago useful when the party wants one restaurant that can support different ways of eating. Allergies still need a specific arrangement; a vegan label does not establish that a dish is free from nuts, sesame or other allergens.
Brunch and dinner offer quite different ways to use the room. Friday-to-Sunday brunch can become the centre of a daytime Bellagio visit, particularly for a group who have been out late. Dinner puts more emphasis on the lake-side setting and a longer meal. A patio request is worth making if the outside space is the attraction, but it is a request for a particular dining location, not a guarantee that every booking will be seated there.
The lake is also why the Grand Prix needs special care in the decision. During race preparations and racing, structures, access arrangements and fountain operations can differ from an ordinary week. A Spago reservation does not itself buy F1 viewing, a grandstand seat or access to the circuit. If a race-viewing package is offered, its stated seating and admission terms are what you are buying.
For the food alone, Spago works as an adaptable luxury choice: a couple can order a focused dinner, while a larger party can spread across pasta, fish and vegetables. It is particularly convenient for Bellagio guests, who can make an occasion of the meal without adding a car journey. Reserve brunch or dinner according to the kind of afternoon or evening you actually have available.

06 / Good to know
Spago: frequently asked questions
01Is there a vegan menu?
Yes, including dishes such as mushroom risotto and cauliflower steak; the current menu determines availability.
02Can I book brunch every day?
The published brunch schedule is Friday–Sunday, 11:00–14:30.
03Is a patio table guaranteed?
No. Request it directly and rely only on a reservation that explicitly secures that seating.
04Will I see the Grand Prix from dinner?
Do not treat a regular table as a race-viewing package. Circuit structures and event access affect what is possible.
