Founded 1448. Founded in 1448 by Margaret of Anjou and refounded in 1465 by Elizabeth Woodville — the patronage of two queens explains the apostrophe after the s.
Medieval red brick at its best: Old Court and Cloister Court survive from the 15th century, the half-timbered President's Lodge overhangs the cloisters, and the wooden Mathematical Bridge, first built in 1749 to William Etheridge's design, carries the college across the Cam.

Visiting Queens' College
Queens' charges admission: entry costs £5.00 per visitor (children under 12 free with an adult), via the Visitors' Gate on Queens' Lane, typically between 10:00 and 16:00. The college closes during the exam period from mid-April to early July, and on graduation days and for private events, so check dates before visiting.
