The college

A closer
look.

North — Lady Margaret Road

Founded 1965. Founded in 1965 by female Cambridge academics who believed the university offered too few opportunities for women, it is named after the education reformer Lucy Cavendish (1841–1925) and has admitted students of all genders and ages since 2021.

A cluster of Victorian villas and gardens on Lady Margaret Road, linked by modern additions, gives the college a domestic character quite unlike the grand courts of central Cambridge.
