Plan the weekend

Whose weekend
is it?

A Monaco plan turns on two things almost nobody states out loud: where you are staying, and whether you have a seat. Change either and the day changes completely.

Your route / Qualifying day

Qualifying day, from the harbour

The most compressed day of the weekend. One hard anchor in the afternoon, and everything else arranged around getting to it early and getting out of it slowly.

Route schedule

Follow it stop by stop, or make it your own.

  1. Breakfast away from the circuit

The harbour side wakes up early on qualifying day. Eat before the streets fill.

  2. Walk the lower circuit while it is open

Follow the harbour stretch on foot and see the barriers from the outside before anything runs.

  3. 12:30

    Third practice

Third practice. Useful for finding your seat and testing how long the walk really takes.

  4. Long lunch, sitting down

The gap between practice and qualifying is the only real pause in the day.

  5. 16:00

    Qualifying

Be in position well before the pit lane opens. This is the session that decides the race here.

  6. Stay put for the dispersal

Everyone leaves at once and the exits are narrow. Half an hour in a bar beats half an hour in a queue.
