Seven kilometers through ancient pine forests that push human courage to the brink.
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is the spiritual summit of Formula 1. Witness 300+ km/h blind uphill compressions at Eau Rouge, choose between wild trackside camping and commuter hotels in Liège or Aachen, bypass the notorious E42 motorway traffic jams, and soak in decades of Grand Prix heritage across the Ardennes.
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is universally revered by drivers and petrolheads as the greatest racetrack on planet Earth. Spanning 7.004 kilometers through the rugged Ardennes mountains, its layout features 102 meters of vertical elevation change per lap. The iconic Eau Rouge and Raidillon complex demands that drivers plunge downhill, compress violently under 4G vertical loads, and crest a 17% blind climb at 300+ km/h without lifting off the throttle.
Plan for hills and changing weather around the circuit. Campsites range from Yellow’s quieter family setting to lively Green and Young Village evenings. Rooms in nearby towns and larger city bases give you another way to enjoy the weekend; weigh the comfort against the daily journey to your seat.
Arrive early for a general-admission spot at Pouhon. Consider a City Shuttle to avoid driving and parking, and bring waterproof layers and shoes for the hills.

Which Spa grandstand suits my weekend?
Choose Gold 3 for the Eau Rouge climb, Gold 1 for the main straight, or Gold 7 for La Source. Silver 3 offers covered Pouhon seating; Silver 1 overlooks the descent towards Eau Rouge. Compare the Combes stands for the section after Kemmel, or choose Bronze for open-air roaming.
How much do Belgian F1 2027 tickets cost?
Three-day Bronze (General Admission) roaming tickets start from €165–€245. Reserved 3-day Silver Grandstands cost €320–€460, while covered Gold Grandstands (Gold 3 Eau Rouge, Gold 1 Main) range from €580 to €695. Premium hospitality packages (Champions Club, F1 Paddock Club) range from €1,950 to €4,950+.
What gear is essential to survive the Ardennes weather and mud?
Pack ankle-high waterproof hiking boots (or wellingtons), heavy-duty gore-tex waterproof jackets, lightweight folding camping chairs, personal FM radio scanners for live commentary, extra socks in waterproof bags, and high-capacity portable power banks.
Is it better to camp trackside or stay in Liège, Aachen, or Maastricht?
Camping brings you closer to the circuit and its race-week atmosphere. Choose Yellow for a quieter family setting, Green for a livelier stay or Young Village for DJ evenings. A hotel gives you more indoor comfort; compare the full daily journey before choosing a city base. Our camping planner covers pitches, ready-pitched tents, motorhomes, budgets and packing.
How should I plan the return from Spa on Sunday?
Book a city coach or the Grand Prix shuttle to Verviers, save the final departure and allow time to walk from your seat and queue. Connect the return with your train or hotel transfer. Traffic can delay buses too; avoid a tight Sunday evening flight.
Where is the best spot for General Admission (Bronze ticket) spectators?
The natural grass amphitheatre on the outside of Pouhon (Turns 10–11) is the greatest General Admission view in world motorsport. Arrive at the circuit gates by 06:00–06:30 AM on Sunday to sprint for front-row fence positions.
Can spectators walk on the track after the Belgian Grand Prix?
Yes. Following Sunday’s podium ceremony, marshals open track gates near La Source and the pit straight, allowing fans onto the track surface to walk up the steep 17% incline of Eau Rouge and Raidillon.
