Belgian Grand Prix / Airports, trains and circuit transfers
Getting to Spa-Francorchamps: Connect your flight, base and circuit gate.
Compare Brussels, Charleroi and Liège airports, travel through Verviers by rail, or book a city coach. Explore local bus and tram routes before choosing your base.
Brussels Airport is the simplest starting point for a rail journey. Charleroi suits many low-cost flights; Liège is closer to the Ardennes but has a smaller choice of passenger services. Choose your hotel and circuit transfer before committing to a flight.

Payment
Buy through SNCB. Check that the Brussels Airport Supplement is included and keep the ticket for the station gates.
For a Brussels hotel, take a city-bound train first. For race-day travel, plan the Verviers connection and shuttle return as well as the airport leg.

International reservations and Belgian domestic tickets can have different conditions. Check whether a missed connection is protected.
Cologne/Bonn and Düsseldorf airports are alternatives when the flights suit you. Compare the complete rail journey through Aachen, rather than just the airfare.
Verviers is the railway handoff. Francorchamps is the final approach.
Take the Grand Prix shuttle from Verviers-Central to the Francorchamps drop-off, then follow the signed walk to your ticket entrance. Spa town has a railway station but the circuit does not. Book your event transfer before relying on it; 2027 operating times and fares are still to be confirmed.
Direct event coaches are offered from cities including Brussels, Liège, Charleroi, Antwerp and Aachen, with other Belgian and cross-border origins available through the organiser. Choose the actual departure point before booking your hotel.
A city-coach ticket and a Verviers shuttle ticket are different products. Book in advance, check the days available and keep the same-day return instructions. Allow for queues and traffic; a coach does not guarantee a traffic-free journey.
Use Liège tram T1 between the Guillemins station area and the city centre. The map also includes useful city bus connections and route 57 to the airport.
Around the Ardennes, routes 294 and 395 connect Verviers with the Francorchamps area. Routes 295 and 388 connect Verviers and Spa; 744 and 750 continue between Spa, Stavelot and Trois-Ponts. Other mapped services reach Malmedy, Theux, Jalhay and nearby villages. Some rural departures are limited or depend on the day.
Ordinary buses are not the Grand Prix shuttle. Routes 294 and 395 do not serve the circuit during the organiser’s Sunday diversions. Check race-week changes before choosing any rural bus for a circuit journey.
For Spa town, change to the local rail branch at Pepinster. Continue to your accommodation or arrange the remaining circuit transfer; do not treat Spa station as a walk-to-track stop.
Source, P15 and Ster serve different approaches around La Source, the pits and Eau Rouge. Combes entrances approach the eastern side; Blanchimont serves the southern end. Use the circuit map to compare your seat and entrance before choosing transport or parking.
Book the parking zone suited to your ticket. The Malmedy asphalt-parking option includes a shuttle towards Combes; read its hours and return instructions. Do not navigate to a different gate simply because it looks closer on a road map.
Spa is hilly. Bring shoes with grip and waterproof layers, and leave time for stairs, slopes and crowd controls. Signed tunnels connect spectator areas; never cross the racing surface.
Book a PRM viewing place rather than assuming a standard grandstand has step-free access. Source and Chicane have dedicated PRM products; confirm the companion ticket and parking or drop-off arrangements with Spa Grand Prix.
Arrange rail assistance with SNCB and confirm vehicle accessibility with the shuttle operator before booking. Step-free station access does not guarantee an accessible event bus or a suitable route across the circuit grounds.
Save the final shuttle and train departures before leaving your hotel. Allow for the walk from your seat, bus queues and road traffic. Avoid a tight Sunday evening flight connection; a Monday departure gives you more room.
If you arrive after public transport finishes, pre-book a transfer to your accommodation. Agree the price, luggage space and meeting point. Do not rely on finding an unbooked taxi outside the circuit after the race.
Keep your rail, shuttle and admission tickets charged and available offline. Carry a power bank and leave room for luggage when comparing transfers.
Heading back to the airport
Reverse the airport connection from your hotel or rail interchange. For Brussels Airport, keep your rail ticket for the station gates. Check the airport bus separately for Charleroi or Liège, and leave enough time for your airline’s check-in deadline.
By train: Change at Verviers-Central for the Grand Prix shuttle to Francorchamps. Check the 2027 timetable before booking your journey.
By coach: Book a city coach or the Malmedy parking shuttle and save its return departure point.
Walking: Spa is hilly. Allow time for outdoor paths, stairs, tunnel controls and the return walk after the race.
Stations & pickup points
Rue de Sart, before the Trou Hennet roundabout. Continue on the signed pedestrian approach to your ticket entrance. Save the return boarding point; 2027 shuttle times are to be confirmed.
Follow the signs towards the Combes entrances. Confirm your actual arrival bay and return departure with the operator.
Ordinary local stop on route 752. Check operating days and event diversions; continue on foot towards Ster only where the signed route is open.
Ordinary village bus stop. Routes 294 and 395 do not serve the circuit during Sunday Grand Prix diversions.

Transport information reviewed on 28 September 2026. The TEC map uses the 25 September 2026 feed, with calendar coverage through December 2026. It shows ordinary route geography, not confirmed July 2027 departures. Event shuttles and city coaches are separate products. Some organiser pages retain older dates and fares; those have not been presented as 2027 confirmations.
The regional map retains selected TEC route variants and stops, including rural services that may operate only on school days or at limited times. Rail lines are original schematic interchange connections using OpenStreetMap station positions; intermediate calls and track alignments are omitted. SNCB timetable data is not redistributed.
These are editable planning allowances for arrival at Brussels Airport (BRU). Adjust airport clearance and transfer time for your arrival terminal, hotel location and transport choice. Allow for race-week traffic and confirm your hotel’s check-in time; the transfer allowance is not a quoted journey time.
