A weekend you can budget for.

We prefill this from the campsite you choose and the Belgium guide budget data. Adjust any line if your booking differs.

Your trip

Know before you go

Less guesswork.
Better camping.

From a dry sleeping bag to a safe route home, get the practical details sorted before race week.

Match the campsite to your seat

Yellow approaches La Source and Ster; Green approaches Les Combes; Young Village uses the southern side. Getting through the entrance is only part of the journey: leave time for the hills and paths between the gate and your viewing area. Follow the route issued for your campsite, not a generic circuit pin.

Choose your seat and circuit approach →
Arriving without a car

A ready-pitched tent removes the bulkiest luggage. Book the journey to the campsite itself: a circuit shuttle may stop a long walk away, and a race-day coach may not run on Thursday or Monday. Ask the operator for a safe luggage drop-off, check-in hours and a return pickup point.

Plan your journey to the Ardennes →
Families and lighter sleepers

Start with Yellow or a campsite with an explicit quiet policy. Ask for the actual quiet hours and distance from entertainment; a family recommendation does not promise silence. Bring ear protection for the track, warm bedding and a meeting plan for everyone in your group. Children count towards campsite occupancy.

Step-free access and essential power

Official temporary campsites do not provide adapted sanitary facilities. Before paying, confirm step-free toilets, shower access, pitch surface and the complete route to your seat with the operator. If you need reliable overnight power or refrigerated storage, arrange it explicitly; a circuit accessibility ticket does not provide those campsite services.

Motorhomes and caravans

Measure the whole setup, including your awning, and declare the tow car. Official vehicle pitches have no personal power or water connection and no wastewater disposal. Fill and empty at suitable service points before arrival, and book a service stop afterwards. Arrange any essential hookup with a suitable private operator.

Cooking, food and water

Pack an easy first-night meal and breakfast before travelling. Check cooking permissions and current fire restrictions before bringing a stove or barbecue. Keep fuel-burning equipment outside tents and awnings; never use a barbecue to heat your sleeping space. Use designated drinking-water points and keep food cool. Plan a no-cook option for bad weather.

Rain, mud and a comfortable night

Practise pitching before the trip. Use an insulated sleeping mat, warm bedding and a groundsheet contained beneath the tent. Keep dry clothes in waterproof bags. At check-in, ask staff about drainage, safe parking and wet-weather recovery. Avoid driving across soft grass unnecessarily and use authorised assistance if stuck.

Security, phones and solo travel

Save tickets and arrival instructions offline, carry a charged power bank and agree a meeting point if calls fail. Keep valuables with you; official campsites have no lockers. Solo campers should share their site and travel plan with someone they trust and locate reception and first aid when arriving. Call 112 in an emergency.

Pets, neighbours and leaving no trace

Confirm campsite and circuit pet policies separately before travelling with an animal. Keep walkways clear, respect quiet hours and use the campsite’s waste and recycling points. Take your tent, pegs and broken equipment home. Empty toilet cassettes and greywater only at designated disposal points.

    • Keep car, tent and guy ropes inside the pitch and emergency access clear.

    • Consider staying Sunday night; check your own site’s checkout and departure rules.

    • Plan rest stops and any motorhome water or waste servicing on the way home.

A few final details

Camping questions, answered.

Does a campsite booking include Grand Prix entry?

No. Official campsite bookings require a separate Belgian Grand Prix ticket. Check any private package carefully: accommodation, admission, parking and transfers may be sold separately.

Can I buy official camping on arrival?

No. Book official camping online before travelling; tickets are not sold at campsite entrances or ticket offices.

Which campsite is quieter?

Yellow is the organiser’s quieter family recommendation. GPtents has a party-free policy. Green is livelier, Young Village has DJ evenings and Masta advertises entertainment until 01:00. No outdoor campsite can promise silence.

Can friends reserve neighbouring pitches?

Ask the operator before booking and arrange arrival together if advised. Separate reservations do not guarantee adjacent pitches; respect occupancy limits and quiet or group policies.

What can I take through the circuit gate?

Campsite and circuit rules differ. The circuit allows personal food, sealed plastic bottles and empty reusable bottles, but not glass, outside alcohol or opened plastic bottles. Check the latest prohibited-items list before packing your day bag.

Can I leave immediately after the race?

Official campsites restrict departures on Sunday between 16:30 and 19:30. Ask your operator how this affects your vehicle and allow extra time for event traffic. Staying until Monday can make the journey less pressured.

What should I check before paying?

Confirm the race edition and stay dates, occupancy including children, pitch and vehicle dimensions, parking, power, meals, transfers, taxes, deposits and cancellation terms. Get any accessibility arrangements or essential services agreed before paying.

Editorial notes & sources

Camping information reviewed on 28 September 2026. The campsite planner prefills current official campsite products where product prices are published, and otherwise uses the Belgium guide camping allowance from the destination budget data. It remains an editable planning tool and does not make a reservation or check availability.

Opening hours and departure restrictions follow current operator guidance and may change for the booked edition. Walking approaches describe campsite areas, not surveyed pitch coordinates or guaranteed journey times. The operator’s route and booking instructions take priority.

Official barbecue wording is contradictory. This guide does not promise permission for a particular fuel or appliance; ask the campsite and follow current fire restrictions. Private campsite services, group policies and accessibility must be agreed with the operator.
