Venue & courts
Full 2027 programme to be confirmed

Find your court, choose your grounds entrance and plan for the 2027 Arthur Ashe changes.

Tennis in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park.

Explore four stadiums, thirteen field courts and the five practice courts beside Arthur Ashe Stadium. Match and practice assignments change each day, so check the order of play before choosing where to go.

Arthur Ashe and Louis Armstrong have retractable roofs. Grandstand, Stadium 17 and the field courts are open air. A roof does not guarantee shade or access: choose the court, session and seating area included with your ticket.

For 2027, Arthur Ashe is scheduled to gain a new Grand Entrance, final loge and promenade improvements, and upgraded food, drink, shops and restrooms. The plans include two new sets of escalators and two elevator banks at the south stadium entrance. Confirm the final entrance and route to your seat before your visit.

The expanded courtside bowl and two dedicated suite levels were introduced for 2026. Those changes are separate from the work planned for completion in 2027; older seat maps may not match your chosen session.

The new Player Performance Center is planned to open for players and their teams in 2027. Its dedicated player entrance is not a spectator entrance, and premium lounges require the applicable booking.

Main Entry is on the east side of the grounds; Champions’ Entry is on the south side towards the Unisphere. Grounds screening comes before the walk to your stadium. Follow the entry shown in your session instructions; the new Ashe Grand Entrance is a stadium entrance inside the grounds.

Explore USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

Start with the experience you want

Choose Ashe for the main-stadium occasion and a reserved session; Armstrong for a roofed major stadium on a smaller scale; Grandstand for an open-air show court with a shade canopy; and Stadium 17 for a compact, first-come bowl. Proximity, shelter and a guaranteed place are separate decisions.

For viewing, compare the height and angle as well as the court name. Behind a baseline helps you follow depth; side-on highlights lateral movement; a corner gives a diagonal view. An upper Ashe seat and a lower seat at a smaller court can be very different purchases even when the prices are similar.

Arthur Ashe Stadium seating guide

Arthur Ashe is the choice when being inside the US Open’s main stadium is part of the reason for travelling. Its scale gives a major match a sense of occasion that the smaller courts cannot reproduce. The same scale also makes the seat level consequential: a courtside ticket and a high promenade seat deliver very different perspectives on the same rally.

Compare courtside, loge and promenade views, the main-stadium atmosphere, roof and sun exposure, accessible seating and the 2027 arrival changes.

Louis Armstrong Stadium seating guide

Armstrong is a strong choice when you want a substantial stadium match without choosing the largest arena on the grounds. Its roughly 14,000-seat bowl is smaller than Ashe, with a retractable roof and a distinctive terracotta-louvred exterior. It gives you a stadium experience while keeping the comparison with smaller courts very much alive.

Choose between Armstrong’s reserved and general-admission areas, compare viewing angles and understand its retractable roof, natural ventilation and accessible approaches.

Grandstand seating guide

Grandstand is a good place to make the match itself the occasion. The southwest stadium sits beside the southern field courts, with a sunken playing surface and an asymmetrical bowl that brings an approximately 8,000-seat crowd around the action. It is smaller than Armstrong and very different from watching the same sport high in Ashe.

Explore Grandstand’s sunken bowl, courtside and general-admission views, shade canopy, open-air weather exposure and place in a day around the field courts.

Stadium 17 seating guide

Stadium 17, also called Court 17, is the small show-court option in the southeast corner of the grounds. The playing surface sits below the surrounding ground, with steep seating close around it—the form behind its nickname, the Pit. It offers a different perspective from the much larger stadiums, with the court rather than a grand main-stage setting dominating the visit.

Get to know Stadium 17’s sunken court, steep seating and lively smaller-scale setting, with honest advice on queues, sun, rain and accessible viewing.

Choose shelter and access before relying on a seat

Ashe and Armstrong have retractable roofs. Grandstand’s shade canopy does not cover its playing court, and Stadium 17 is exposed to outdoor weather. No covered court is a rain fallback unless your ticket permits entry and space is available. For daytime shade, ask about the actual position and time rather than treating a whole tier as permanently shaded.

Book suitable accessible seating and companion places together, plan the Mets station approach separately and use the designated route at the court. Lower seats are not automatically step-free. Reserved seats can simplify breaks, while general-admission queues and seating availability need a flexible plan.

Check the daily order of play, the entrance on your ticket and your return journey. Match finish times vary.

Sources & travel notes

The 2027 guide is a research draft. The WTA listing covers its women’s event, not the complete programme. Fan Week, qualifying, mixed doubles and individual session dates remain unresolved.

The complex pin uses the geographic source’s published decimal coordinates. It does not identify an entrance. Year-round operator directions are retained separately from tournament-day arrival instructions.

The 28 New York attraction stories were expanded on 18 October 2026 using retained operator evidence and targeted current museum, park, transport and collection pages. Named collection works explain the character of a visit; rotations, maintenance and dated programmes determine what is accessible on a particular day. Older walking guides support enduring design and collection context, not current hours or a fixed future installation. Each attraction’s US Open timing advice is separate from its stable city story. Existing admission arithmetic, journeys, galleries and trip templates are retained.

Court identities were compared with the organiser’s 2025 grounds PDF and its 2026 hospitality map. Court pins and outlines derive from specific OpenStreetMap features; gate pins retain named geographic gate nodes. These are existing locations, not certification of the final 2027 circulation or ticket entitlements.

Arthur Ashe’s playing-area outline is retained, while its renovated exterior and new entrances are omitted pending geographic evidence. President’s Entry has conflicting geographic and schematic positions. Practice Courts P6–P17 beyond the boardwalk, temporary zones and complete accessible gate-to-seat routes remain unresolved.

The sixteen New York area guides group existing published venues for trip planning; the groupings are not administrative boundaries or additional visitable places. Their links retain each venue’s sourced coordinates and existing gallery. Named-place return estimates join the existing dining/activity planning records and start at Mets–Willets Point station. Outward route descriptions follow ordinary network connections; late service, event trains, station lifts and ramp opening require dated travel information. They do not guarantee 2027 departures or a fully step-free route. No new fares, prices or hotel quotes are introduced.

Ticket research reviewed on 15 October 2026. The official individual-ticket and plan pages invite 2027 sale alerts but retain 2026 product tables. Historical court access is kept separately from unknown 2027 session entitlements; no 2026 date, session number, price or weather remedy has been rolled forward.

The WTA women’s date range does not establish the full programme or ticket validity. No dated ticket products or session slots are enabled until the organiser publishes the relevant 2027 offers. Hospitality enquiries do not establish a reserved booking or live stock.

The 2027 hospitality announcement supports the three broad suite/club comparisons. Its placeholder copy, example parking allocations and inconsistent club counts are excluded. Named 2026 clubs and off-court experiences are not treated as confirmed 2027 products.

The organiser’s 2026 ticket landing page and admission article disagree about grounds-pass dates. No historical range is used as a 2027 admission window. Current terms and the 2026 weather-policy link are supplied for review; final conditions must match the ticket year, channel and offer.

The ticket decision page was prepared on 19 October 2026 using current official individual-ticket, plan, FAQ and hospitality pages, retained 2026 admission evidence and the current stadium seating charts reviewed for the court guides. Recommendations for one day, several visits and hospitality value are editorial comparisons, not ticket offers or guaranteed savings. Existing edition-specific product, session, access-zone, policy and price records remain unchanged; no dated booking option, final 2027 gate time, fare or ticket price was created. Older plan tables and their session counts are not carried forward. Booking guidance distinguishes alerts and enquiries from admission.

Transport guidance was reviewed on 15 October 2026. MTA operator rows supply the retained station coordinates and route shapes. Airport station reference nodes are OpenStreetMap features; they are not terminal doors or pickup bays.

The captured GTFS rows cover current services, not the published 2027 women’s event window. Calendar rules and exceptions were checked against that window; no 2027 departures, last trains or free tournament-travel entitlement is published here. Airport links, interchanges and station-to-gate handoffs have no invented line geometry or walking times.

Fare comparisons are October 2026 adult fares in USD, not confirmed 2027 prices. Current airport disruptions are not carried into 2027. Event ramp operation, 2027 pickup and assistance arrangements, and accessible gate-to-seat routes after the Arthur Ashe renovation remain open.

MTA geographic data, obtained and hosted by Above.Guide, is used under the MTA developer terms. Above.Guide is not an official MTA product. Airport station nodes: © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL.

Network expansion reviewed on 16 October 2026. Nine MTA GTFS feeds supply all configured active route identities, complete route-stop membership witnesses and referenced shapes. Public display shapes retain source vertices with an eight-metre simplification tolerance; no invented airport rail or walking connectors are drawn.

Airport rail and PATH geometry comes from named OpenStreetMap route relations. NJ Transit’s airport corridor is a continuous source-track path between named rail stop positions, rather than an inferred line between station markers. Physical route geometry does not establish stopping patterns or 2027 services.

Four exterior pedestrian paths reproduce consecutive edges of reviewed public OpenStreetMap ways and finish at the existing named gate nodes. Distances derive from that source geometry. They do not certify accessible travel, future construction access or security circulation; the conditional event ramp remains a separate unmapped approach.

New York owns the hotel identities, geographic references and selected real photographs. The US Open projection adds 2027 room allowances, arrival/return advice and booking questions. Hotel tiers are editorial comparisons, not official ratings or guaranteed price rankings.

Room allowances are editorial USD estimates for 28 August–13 September 2027, around the published WTA women’s window; this is not the confirmed full tournament programme. The default is four nights from 28 August–1 September for two adults. Saved dates and party size take precedence; extra adults scale estimated rooms, while children and dates outside the window require a quote. No dated availability, room quote or minimum stay is confirmed. Taxes and compulsory fees are additional.

Hotel pins are named property references or operator map/directions markers. Hyatt Place Flushing uses the sourced One Fulton Square host-complex polygon, not a hotel door or precise footprint; conflicting generic listing pins were excluded. Route descriptions join the retained 7 train station references and Main Entry. They do not invent walking geometry, door-to-gate times, hotel shuttles or 2027 accessible routes.

Selected photographs show the named hotel and room/space. Only LIC Hotel’s lead currently meets the full-building exterior requirement. The other seven complete-building exterior views remain open; room and interior photographs are not accepted as completion of that requirement. Cropped entrances are supplementary gallery views only. Room and terrace features depend on the category booked.

Hotel rooms, facilities and breakfast arrangements were expanded using current hotel/brand information reviewed 16 October 2026. Named room categories control beds, kitchens and accessible bathrooms. Standard, club and breakfast-inclusive rates have separate entitlements; the current Pod facility fee is additional to the room price. Room allowances remain editable estimates rather than dated booking quotes.

The New York city collection contains ten stable venue identities and geographic pins, separate from US Open 2027 session advice and named hotel connections. Operational references were captured on 16 October 2026; 2027 hours, exhibitions, events, kitchen service and prices are not confirmed. Visit durations are editorial allowances, not journey timetables.

Dining spend ranges are editorial USD allowances per person before tax and tip, not captured 2027 menu offers. Queens Museum currently uses pay-what-you-wish admission with $8 suggested for adults; MoMA PS1 currently offers free general admission to all. Reconfirm for the travel date.

Actual venue photographs retain their original scene and credited licence. Photograph dates vary; furniture, exhibitions, menus and seasonal conditions may change. Eataly’s 2013 photographs precede its other New York branch openings and are catalogued as Eataly NYC.

New World Mall’s food court, Ess-a-Bagel Midtown East, the Morgan and the Met remain research candidates. Incomplete exact-branch dining galleries and uncompleted museum location/media reviews keep those candidates outside the published city collection. No restaurant or city attraction implies US Open admission, re-entry or a guaranteed match finish.

Food recommendations use operator menus, Michelin’s 2025 New York selection, local food reporting and the US Open’s 2026 dining directory, reviewed 16 October 2026. Prices and service can change. The market has a tournament break; carts can move. On-site map pins identify the host complex, while the organiser’s map identifies outlets and admission areas.

New York activity guidance uses the current operator, NYC Tourism, NYC Parks and National Park Service information reviewed 16 October 2026. Dated performances, exhibitions, games and ferry services must be selected for the travel dates. Route pins distinguish a destination from its entrance or mainland departure.

Family and accessibility arrangements use official USTA visitor, ticket and accessibility guidance and MTA station/event guidance reviewed 19 October 2026. Programme-linked free admission refers to the completed 2026 Fan Week; paid admission is additional. Day durations, break frequency and family arrival margins are flexible editorial suggestions, not published opening hours or clinical advice. No future seat availability, assistance booking, quiet room, adult changing facility or certified gate-to-seat route is implied. Existing sourced place coordinates, 30 outdoor walks, accepted images and 17 saved trip templates are unchanged.

Fan Week admission and programme examples are edition-bound to the completed 2026 event. No 2027 sessions, registration availability, paid ticket prices or player appearances are created. Suggested arrival/day-plan times are editorial planning allowances, distinct from published gates and play. Costs reuse the guide’s editable concession allowances, shared food/drink/tax/tip calculation and October 2026 adult subway fare; full fares are used in the family example. Paid ticket costs remain separate until a checkout total is known.

Grounds navigation combines the official 2026 site and accessibility guidance with reviewed OpenStreetMap paths. Distances follow consecutive geographic source nodes. Estimated times use 65–45 metres per minute plus 1–3 minutes for orientation and ordinary pedestrian traffic. They exclude screening, queues, indoor circulation and seating. Mapped paths are outdoor approaches, not certified step-free itineraries; temporary barriers and staff instructions take priority.

US Open history and singles honour rolls reviewed 19 October 2026 against USTA records. Men’s coverage is 1881–2026; women’s is 1887–2026. These are champions lists, not complete draws or player entry lists. Historical source spellings are retained; alternative names are not merged into player identities. Scores, doubles, juniors and wheelchair honour rolls are outside this release.

The four court and seating guides were prepared on 18 October 2026 from current official seating-chart links, accessibility and admission pages, USTA stadium design reporting, the announced Ashe transformation and the Stadium 17 decking supplier’s project account. Historical design articles support permanent architecture, not current concessions or future session calendars. Baseline, side and corner recommendations and audience comparisons are editorial interpretation of the seating geometry; they are not surveyed sightline or shade guarantees. Armstrong’s current chart distinguishes general admission and reserved loge areas, so upper-concourse access is not treated as universally unreserved. Exact 2027 seat assignments, interior circulation and package inclusions follow the applicable seller’s plan and ticket. Existing coordinates, court geometry, entrances, mapped paths, ticket products, prices and accepted galleries are retained.

The first-visit match-day guide was prepared on 18 October 2026 using current official US Open mobile-entry, visit, accessibility, A–Z and transport pages, MTA’s stadium guide, and the existing hotel, venue, ticket and transit records. Ordinary routes and current policies support planning; actual session entry, 2027 stadium circulation, dated service, lift availability and event-ramp operation determine the journey. The day/evening plans are editorial sequences, not a published timetable. No new fares, departure times, court entitlements, pickup coordinates or hotel journey durations are introduced.

Match-day essentials use official organiser information and NYC heat advice available on 16 October 2026. The weather exchange document is explicitly the 2026 policy. Ticket-specific terms and event-day staff instructions take precedence; current source links are provided beside the relevant advice.

Activity prices and ordinary opening hours use current operator information reviewed 16 October 2026. Journey estimates use captured MTA daytime route runtimes with walking and transfer allowances; they are not live departures. Grand Central is the starting hub; Mets times start at the station, excluding the walk out of the grounds. Mainland ferry/tram approaches exclude boarding waits and crossings. Child ages, residency and pass concessions require individual selection.

Check the official order of play, ticket conditions and last transport home for your chosen day. Match finish times vary.
