US Open Fan Week & qualifying
Free tennis, practice viewing & special-event evenings

Plan US Open Fan Week with clear free and ticketed choices, qualifying and practice advice, arrival timing and five practical day plans with estimated costs.

A different way to experience the US Open.

Fan Week lets you build a tennis day around qualifying matches and player practice, then add a stadium event if that is what you most want to see. The appeal is the choice: follow a match at close quarters, see how a player prepares, or spend a shorter visit around a family activity.

The latest completed programme ran 23–29 August 2026, with singles qualifying on 24–27 August. The dated examples below keep free grounds access, reservations and paid stadium sessions separate. For a 2027 visit, choose the equivalent day from the official programme when arranging your trip.

Choose a day for what you want to see

Choose qualifying for competitive tennis at close quarters, practice for established players preparing for the tournament, or a separately ticketed event for a particular stadium programme. A qualifying day can give you long stretches of tennis without paying for a reserved main-draw stadium seat.

The last days before main-draw play are a different visit. In the 2026 programme, qualifying ended on Thursday; Friday and Saturday were useful for practice and other Fan Week activities, rather than another round of singles qualifying.

Singles qualifying

Proper tournament matches on the field courts, with players trying to win a place in the singles main draw. In 2026, a free Fan Access Pass covered grounds entry; seating and site entry remained subject to capacity.

Player practice and the stadium experience

Choose a published practice session and follow its viewing arrangements. Free Fan Week access included practice opportunities, including inside Ashe in 2026; it did not mean unrestricted entry to every stadium area or a guaranteed courtside position.

Free mixed doubles sessions

In 2026, Monday’s Grandstand qualifying and Tuesday’s Armstrong first-round/quarterfinal programme were free with the Fan Access Pass. They were distinct from the ticketed Ashe sessions.

Arthur Ashe mixed doubles

The Ashe programme on Tuesday and Wednesday required a ticket for the correct date and session. Free Armstrong access did not transfer into an Ashe seat.

Exhibitions and concerts

The Federer exhibition and Stars of the Open were separately ticketed. The Lumineers concert on 21 August preceded the 2026 Fan Week dates and was also ticketed. Buy the event named on the ticket; these are not singles championship sessions.

Free events with an RSVP

Free can still require a booking. The 2026 Silent Disco required a reservation and the Block Party required an RSVP through Fan Access Pass. Neither an RSVP nor a pass guaranteed admission after capacity was reached.

The free pass, registration and queues

The 2026 Fan Access Pass was required for adult grounds entry, with the Kids’ Day announcement specifying guests aged 18 and over. Have the pass ready on your phone and follow the registration instructions for every member of the party. This is separate from a paid main-draw grounds pass.

Registration for 2026 has closed. For the next visit, use the official Fan Access Pass page when registration opens, then make any separate event reservation. The pass is limited to its Fan Week dates; it does not extend into the singles main draw.

Capacity controls can pause entry even when you hold a pass or RSVP. Choose one priority activity, keep the party together for entry and have an alternative plan outside the gates. Do not buy a free pass from a reseller.

Why qualifying is worth your time

Each singles qualifying field in 2026 contained 128 players competing for 16 main-draw places. The normal route is three wins. Early rounds offer more matches to choose between; the final round puts a main-draw place directly on the result.

This is the qualifying competition, not a collection of practice matches. Follow the court number and order of play to find a match, and enter the viewing area when the officials allow. The field can include emerging players and experienced names trying to return to the main draw; a famous player’s appearance is not part of the admission promise.

You can follow a player through a qualifying round, then compare their game with a practice session later in the visit. The player guides help explain the different styles, while the main championship archive covers the later 2026 tournament.

Build a practice visit around the daily schedule

Use the official app’s practice schedule to choose the court and time. Player practices are working sessions: opponents, timing and court allocation can change. Leave space for another available practice or qualifying match rather than making the day depend on a single name.

P1–P5 sit west of Ashe, above Courts 4–6. Use the public practice-viewing approach from the southwest of Ashe and follow spectator signs. The raised pavilion also overlooks Courts 4–6; the player areas and President’s Entry are separate.

Practice inside a stadium can have its own viewing area, reservation or queue. In 2026, fans could also see practice from inside Ashe, but that opportunity was not a reserved match seat or access to every level. Ask staff about accessible practice viewing before joining an elevated-gallery queue. Autographs depend on the player; keep aisles and working entrances clear.

The latest completed programme: 23–29 August 2026

All dates and event times in this section are for 2026, in New York time. They show how the week fits together; use the current official calendar and registration terms for your trip. Listed gate times are the daytime Fan Week opening; paid-event admission follows the particular ticket.

Sunday 23 August 2026 · Gates 09:30; first listed tennis 10:00. Kids’ Day and the qualifying wildcard challenge. Family activities ran through the day; this was not the first day of the main singles qualifying draw. Free grounds access with the required adult Fan Access Pass; show capacity and RSVP conditions applied.

Monday 24 August 2026 · Gates 10:00; first listed tennis 11:00. Singles qualifying opened on the field courts. Mixed doubles qualifying began at 11:00 in Grandstand. Both qualifying competitions were free with the Fan Access Pass.

Tuesday 25 August 2026 · Gates 09:00; first listed tennis 10:00. Singles qualifying continued. Mixed doubles began at 10:00 in Armstrong, with a separate Ashe session at 11:00. The Roger Federer exhibition was listed for 19:30 in Ashe. Armstrong mixed doubles was free with the pass. Ashe mixed doubles and the Federer exhibition required their own tickets.

Wednesday 26 August 2026 · Gates 10:00; first listed tennis 11:00. Singles qualifying second round. Mixed doubles semifinals and final were scheduled in Ashe from 19:00. Qualifying was free with the pass; the Ashe evening was separately ticketed.

Thursday 27 August 2026 · Gates 10:00; first listed tennis 11:00. The final round of singles qualifying decided main-draw places. Stars of the Open was listed in Ashe at 18:00. Qualifying was free with the pass; Stars of the Open required a separate ticket.

Friday 28 August 2026. Practice and Media Day, including the Fountain Plaza interview programme from 13:00–16:00. The Block Party started there at 19:00. Media Day was free with the pass. The free Block Party required an RSVP through Fan Access Pass.

Saturday 29 August 2026. The last Fan Week day, with practice ahead of Sunday’s main-draw start. Singles qualifying had finished on Thursday. Free Fan Week grounds access followed the pass and capacity rules; practice locations and viewing access followed the daily listings.

Arrive for the programme, not a standard main-draw session

All times here are New York time. In the 2026 schedule, ordinary Monday, Wednesday and Thursday qualifying days opened the grounds at 10:00 for 11:00 play. Tuesday was earlier: 09:00 gates and 10:00 play. Sunday’s listed gate time was 09:30.

For an 11:00 qualifying start, a practical target is Mets–Willets Point around 09:30, then the signed boardwalk, screening queue and internal walk. For the early Tuesday programme, move that target to about 08:30. These are suggested arrival targets, not additional gate-opening times.

The official accessible-arrival guidance gives roughly 10–15 minutes from the station to Main Entry. Add screening and the internal route: Main Entry to Armstrong’s south approach is about 4–7 minutes; to the practice-viewing approach, about 8–12 minutes. A packed queue can take longer.

For an evening exhibition, use that event’s entry instructions. The regular main-draw night-session timetable does not establish when a Fan Week event admits spectators. Friday or Saturday visits should follow that day’s published opening information and chosen practice or event.

What to reserve first

Choose the programme day, register for the free pass when available, then secure any separately ticketed session or required RSVP. Keep the free pass and paid ticket easy to distinguish on your phone.

Before buying a stadium event, confirm the date, stadium, session, seat and complete checkout total. Hospitality is a separate purchase with its own inclusions. A day of free viewing does not entitle you to stay in a seat through a paid evening event.

Keep a timed city dinner or show off the back of a match with no fixed finish. If you combine free daytime tennis with an evening event, allow a meal break and follow any stadium-clearance or re-entry instructions.

What a free-entry day can cost

Allow $25 for a counter meal and $8 for its soft drink, before meal tax. An optional ice cream adds a $10 allowance before tax. These are spending estimates; use the actual menu and complete price at the counter. They do not establish which concessions will trade on a future Fan Week day.

At the current adult subway fare, two taps cost $6.00. A concession lunch with a soft drink and an ice cream brings the estimated full-day total to $52.82 per person, including meal tax and return subway travel. A shorter visit with just the meal and soft drink is $41.93.

Paid events are additional: add the full ticket checkout price, including compulsory fees and applicable ticket taxes. No fixed event-ticket price is included in these examples. A day-to-night visit also needs a second meal allowance.

The family example uses standard meal portions and full subway fares for all four people. Apply a concession only where the traveller qualifies; do not assume a child discount for a meal or paid stadium seat. Counter-service tips are optional additions, and alcohol is excluded.

A qualifying-first day

Suggested plan using the 2026-08-24 programme pattern.

Morning: For the ordinary 10:00-gate/11:00-play pattern, reach Mets–Willets Point around 09:30. After entry, choose a field-court match from the order of play and stay for a full passage of the contest.

Afternoon: Break for lunch around 12:30, then choose another qualifying match or a listed practice. Keep court changes close together rather than repeatedly crossing the site.

Evening: Leave around 17:00–18:00 if you want dinner back near your hotel. Later entertainment is an optional addition with its own access requirements.

Reserve first: Register for the pass; choose qualifying from the actual court assignments. No reserved stadium ticket is assumed.

Alternative: If entry is paused, follow staff directions and switch to a separate city outing. Return only under the organiser’s current advice; a pass does not override a capacity hold.

Per person · Estimated total: $52.82. Food $35.00, soft drinks $8.00, meal tax $3.82 and return subway $6.00. Free programme admission: $0. These counter-service examples include no tip; add any voluntary gratuity. Hotels, breakfast, airport travel, alcohol and additional city meals are excluded.

A free mixed doubles and qualifying day

Suggested plan using the 2026-08-25 programme pattern.

Morning: For the 2026 Tuesday pattern, target Mets–Willets Point around 08:30 for 09:00 grounds opening. Head towards Armstrong for its 10:00 free mixed doubles programme, subject to available viewing space.

Afternoon: Take a concession lunch, then follow the singles qualifying order of play on the field courts or remain with the Armstrong session. A free pass does not cover the simultaneous Ashe mixed doubles session.

Evening: Return to Manhattan or Queens for the evening. The Federer exhibition was a separate ticketed event, so staying on the grounds did not provide its seat.

Reserve first: The date, court and admission category matter: this plan refers to Tuesday’s free Armstrong programme, not Wednesday’s Ashe final.

Alternative: If Armstrong is full, choose qualifying or an available practice. Keep a paid upgrade optional and buy only through the official event route.

Per person · Estimated total: $52.82. Food $35.00, soft drinks $8.00, meal tax $3.82 and return subway $6.00. Free programme admission: $0. These counter-service examples include no tip; add any voluntary gratuity. Hotels, breakfast, airport travel, alcohol and additional city meals are excluded.

Practice and a Media Day afternoon

Suggested plan using the 2026-08-28 programme pattern.

Morning: Choose a listed practice and work back from its time, using the day’s published gate information. Do not arrive expecting another singles qualifying round: the 2026 qualifying competition had finished on Thursday.

Afternoon: In the 2026 pattern, the Fountain Plaza Media Day programme ran 13:00–16:00. Fit lunch before it, then choose a practice that leaves time to reach the plaza.

Evening: The Block Party was at 19:00 and required its own RSVP through the pass system. Choose it deliberately or leave for a city dinner; a daytime pass alone did not guarantee entry after capacity was reached.

Reserve first: Use the daily practice schedule and, if staying for the party, its separate RSVP.

Alternative: Swap an unavailable practice for another listed court or a shorter grounds visit. If rain removes the useful programme, choose an indoor city visit instead.

Per person · Estimated total: $52.82. Food $35.00, soft drinks $8.00, meal tax $3.82 and return subway $6.00. Free programme admission: $0. These counter-service examples include no tip; add any voluntary gratuity. Hotels, breakfast, airport travel, alcohol and additional city meals are excluded.

A shorter Kids’ Day visit

Suggested plan using the 2026-08-23 programme pattern.

Morning: For the 2026 Sunday pattern, plan around the 09:30 grounds opening. Choose one family activity area and leave space for queues; Kids’ Day was a free family programme, not an ordinary paid singles session.

Afternoon: Have lunch, a water/toilet break and an optional ice cream, then leave around 14:00–15:00 if the children have had enough. The stadium show and other activities follow their own access and capacity arrangements.

Evening: Keep the evening free of another long tennis commitment. Return to your base for dinner and an early finish.

Reserve first: Register each adult as required, follow the children’s registration instructions and complete any show RSVP. The worked budget uses four standard subway fares in each direction, not an assumed child discount.

Alternative: Choose a shorter practice or grounds visit if an activity is full. Use nursing rooms and First Aid at their published stadium locations; follow the day’s signs for accessible seating.

For 4 people · Estimated total: $211.27. Food $140.00, soft drinks $32.00, meal tax $15.27 and return subway $24.00. Free programme admission: $0. These counter-service examples include no tip; add any voluntary gratuity. Hotels, breakfast, airport travel, alcohol and additional city meals are excluded.

Qualifying followed by a ticketed stadium evening

Suggested plan using the 2026-08-27 programme pattern.

Morning: For the 2026 Thursday pattern, enter from 10:00 and watch the final qualifying round from 11:00. Pick a field-court match where a main-draw place is at stake.

Afternoon: Take a longer lunch and a practice or another qualifying match, then eat again before moving to Ashe. Leave time to exit viewing areas, pass ticket checks and reach the correct seating level.

Evening: Stars of the Open was listed at 18:00 in 2026 and required its own ticket. Follow that ticket’s entry time and any stadium-clearance instructions. Keep a late-return plan even for an event with a published start.

Reserve first: Secure the free pass and the correct paid event ticket separately. Add the full checkout ticket price to the spending estimate below.

Alternative: If a paid ticket is unavailable, keep the day as a free qualifying visit and return to the city. Outdoor rain interruptions do not create admission to the evening event.

Per person · Estimated spending before the paid ticket: $88.75. Food $60.00, soft drinks $16.00, meal tax $6.75 and return subway $6.00. Add the complete event-ticket checkout price. These counter-service examples include no tip; add any voluntary gratuity. Hotels, breakfast, airport travel, alcohol and additional city meals are excluded.

Food, water and a workable bag

Carry a small permitted bag, sun protection and an allowed refillable bottle. The essentials guide explains current bottle, backpack and restricted-item rules. Keep your pass accessible while moving through screening.

Use a meal break between viewing sessions. Food Village and the plaza concessions give you options around the courts, but individual counters follow their own operating hours. A particular restaurant or vendor is not included in free admission.

The day budgets below include a soft drink with each main meal and no alcohol. Drinking-water points can help with later refills. Paid food, extra drinks, souvenirs and optional tips can make a free-entry day a substantial spend.

Rain, heat and accessible alternatives

Outdoor qualifying and practice can be interrupted by weather. A roof at Ashe or Armstrong does not turn a free outdoor visit into admission to a ticketed stadium session. Keep a city alternative that does not depend on receiving a weather refund for free entry.

For wheelchair assistance, ask gate staff for the organiser’s limited escort service and bring your own mobility aid for continuing use. The grounds guide identifies outdoor approaches and explains the final ramp or lift, rather than treating a court pin as a seating entrance.

For a shorter visit, choose one court area, a meal or rest break and a clear departure time. Family facilities, nursing rooms and First Aid are covered in the grounds and essentials guides.

Finish with a reliable journey home

Before an evening event, decide how you will return to the hotel if it finishes late. Main Entry connects to the boardwalk for the 7 and stopping LIRR trains; check the actual direction and service for your journey.

For a public-transport budget, start with two adult subway taps. LIRR, airport rail links, taxis and rideshare have separate fares. The accessible return requires the correct subway approach and platform; the venue escort does not continue to the station.

Check the daily order of play, the entrance on your ticket and your return journey. Match finish times vary.

Sources & travel notes

The 2027 guide is a research draft. The WTA listing covers its women’s event, not the complete programme. Fan Week, qualifying, mixed doubles and individual session dates remain unresolved.

The complex pin uses the geographic source’s published decimal coordinates. It does not identify an entrance. Year-round operator directions are retained separately from tournament-day arrival instructions.

The 28 New York attraction stories were expanded on 18 October 2026 using retained operator evidence and targeted current museum, park, transport and collection pages. Named collection works explain the character of a visit; rotations, maintenance and dated programmes determine what is accessible on a particular day. Older walking guides support enduring design and collection context, not current hours or a fixed future installation. Each attraction’s US Open timing advice is separate from its stable city story. Existing admission arithmetic, journeys, galleries and trip templates are retained.

Court identities were compared with the organiser’s 2025 grounds PDF and its 2026 hospitality map. Court pins and outlines derive from specific OpenStreetMap features; gate pins retain named geographic gate nodes. These are existing locations, not certification of the final 2027 circulation or ticket entitlements.

Arthur Ashe’s playing-area outline is retained, while its renovated exterior and new entrances are omitted pending geographic evidence. President’s Entry has conflicting geographic and schematic positions. Practice Courts P6–P17 beyond the boardwalk, temporary zones and complete accessible gate-to-seat routes remain unresolved.

The sixteen New York area guides group existing published venues for trip planning; the groupings are not administrative boundaries or additional visitable places. Their links retain each venue’s sourced coordinates and existing gallery. Named-place return estimates join the existing dining/activity planning records and start at Mets–Willets Point station. Outward route descriptions follow ordinary network connections; late service, event trains, station lifts and ramp opening require dated travel information. They do not guarantee 2027 departures or a fully step-free route. No new fares, prices or hotel quotes are introduced.

Ticket research reviewed on 15 October 2026. The official individual-ticket and plan pages invite 2027 sale alerts but retain 2026 product tables. Historical court access is kept separately from unknown 2027 session entitlements; no 2026 date, session number, price or weather remedy has been rolled forward.

The WTA women’s date range does not establish the full programme or ticket validity. No dated ticket products or session slots are enabled until the organiser publishes the relevant 2027 offers. Hospitality enquiries do not establish a reserved booking or live stock.

The 2027 hospitality announcement supports the three broad suite/club comparisons. Its placeholder copy, example parking allocations and inconsistent club counts are excluded. Named 2026 clubs and off-court experiences are not treated as confirmed 2027 products.

The organiser’s 2026 ticket landing page and admission article disagree about grounds-pass dates. No historical range is used as a 2027 admission window. Current terms and the 2026 weather-policy link are supplied for review; final conditions must match the ticket year, channel and offer.

The ticket decision page was prepared on 19 October 2026 using current official individual-ticket, plan, FAQ and hospitality pages, retained 2026 admission evidence and the current stadium seating charts reviewed for the court guides. Recommendations for one day, several visits and hospitality value are editorial comparisons, not ticket offers or guaranteed savings. Existing edition-specific product, session, access-zone, policy and price records remain unchanged; no dated booking option, final 2027 gate time, fare or ticket price was created. Older plan tables and their session counts are not carried forward. Booking guidance distinguishes alerts and enquiries from admission.

Transport guidance was reviewed on 15 October 2026. MTA operator rows supply the retained station coordinates and route shapes. Airport station reference nodes are OpenStreetMap features; they are not terminal doors or pickup bays.

The captured GTFS rows cover current services, not the published 2027 women’s event window. Calendar rules and exceptions were checked against that window; no 2027 departures, last trains or free tournament-travel entitlement is published here. Airport links, interchanges and station-to-gate handoffs have no invented line geometry or walking times.

Fare comparisons are October 2026 adult fares in USD, not confirmed 2027 prices. Current airport disruptions are not carried into 2027. Event ramp operation, 2027 pickup and assistance arrangements, and accessible gate-to-seat routes after the Arthur Ashe renovation remain open.

MTA geographic data, obtained and hosted by Above.Guide, is used under the MTA developer terms. Above.Guide is not an official MTA product. Airport station nodes: © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL.

Network expansion reviewed on 16 October 2026. Nine MTA GTFS feeds supply all configured active route identities, complete route-stop membership witnesses and referenced shapes. Public display shapes retain source vertices with an eight-metre simplification tolerance; no invented airport rail or walking connectors are drawn.

Airport rail and PATH geometry comes from named OpenStreetMap route relations. NJ Transit’s airport corridor is a continuous source-track path between named rail stop positions, rather than an inferred line between station markers. Physical route geometry does not establish stopping patterns or 2027 services.

Four exterior pedestrian paths reproduce consecutive edges of reviewed public OpenStreetMap ways and finish at the existing named gate nodes. Distances derive from that source geometry. They do not certify accessible travel, future construction access or security circulation; the conditional event ramp remains a separate unmapped approach.

New York owns the hotel identities, geographic references and selected real photographs. The US Open projection adds 2027 room allowances, arrival/return advice and booking questions. Hotel tiers are editorial comparisons, not official ratings or guaranteed price rankings.

Room allowances are editorial USD estimates for 28 August–13 September 2027, around the published WTA women’s window; this is not the confirmed full tournament programme. The default is four nights from 28 August–1 September for two adults. Saved dates and party size take precedence; extra adults scale estimated rooms, while children and dates outside the window require a quote. No dated availability, room quote or minimum stay is confirmed. Taxes and compulsory fees are additional.

Hotel pins are named property references or operator map/directions markers. Hyatt Place Flushing uses the sourced One Fulton Square host-complex polygon, not a hotel door or precise footprint; conflicting generic listing pins were excluded. Route descriptions join the retained 7 train station references and Main Entry. They do not invent walking geometry, door-to-gate times, hotel shuttles or 2027 accessible routes.

Selected photographs show the named hotel and room/space. Only LIC Hotel’s lead currently meets the full-building exterior requirement. The other seven complete-building exterior views remain open; room and interior photographs are not accepted as completion of that requirement. Cropped entrances are supplementary gallery views only. Room and terrace features depend on the category booked.

Hotel rooms, facilities and breakfast arrangements were expanded using current hotel/brand information reviewed 16 October 2026. Named room categories control beds, kitchens and accessible bathrooms. Standard, club and breakfast-inclusive rates have separate entitlements; the current Pod facility fee is additional to the room price. Room allowances remain editable estimates rather than dated booking quotes.

The New York city collection contains ten stable venue identities and geographic pins, separate from US Open 2027 session advice and named hotel connections. Operational references were captured on 16 October 2026; 2027 hours, exhibitions, events, kitchen service and prices are not confirmed. Visit durations are editorial allowances, not journey timetables.

Dining spend ranges are editorial USD allowances per person before tax and tip, not captured 2027 menu offers. Queens Museum currently uses pay-what-you-wish admission with $8 suggested for adults; MoMA PS1 currently offers free general admission to all. Reconfirm for the travel date.

Actual venue photographs retain their original scene and credited licence. Photograph dates vary; furniture, exhibitions, menus and seasonal conditions may change. Eataly’s 2013 photographs precede its other New York branch openings and are catalogued as Eataly NYC.

New World Mall’s food court, Ess-a-Bagel Midtown East, the Morgan and the Met remain research candidates. Incomplete exact-branch dining galleries and uncompleted museum location/media reviews keep those candidates outside the published city collection. No restaurant or city attraction implies US Open admission, re-entry or a guaranteed match finish.

Food recommendations use operator menus, Michelin’s 2025 New York selection, local food reporting and the US Open’s 2026 dining directory, reviewed 16 October 2026. Prices and service can change. The market has a tournament break; carts can move. On-site map pins identify the host complex, while the organiser’s map identifies outlets and admission areas.

New York activity guidance uses the current operator, NYC Tourism, NYC Parks and National Park Service information reviewed 16 October 2026. Dated performances, exhibitions, games and ferry services must be selected for the travel dates. Route pins distinguish a destination from its entrance or mainland departure.

Family and accessibility arrangements use official USTA visitor, ticket and accessibility guidance and MTA station/event guidance reviewed 19 October 2026. Programme-linked free admission refers to the completed 2026 Fan Week; paid admission is additional. Day durations, break frequency and family arrival margins are flexible editorial suggestions, not published opening hours or clinical advice. No future seat availability, assistance booking, quiet room, adult changing facility or certified gate-to-seat route is implied. Existing sourced place coordinates, 30 outdoor walks, accepted images and 17 saved trip templates are unchanged.

Fan Week admission and programme examples are edition-bound to the completed 2026 event. No 2027 sessions, registration availability, paid ticket prices or player appearances are created. Suggested arrival/day-plan times are editorial planning allowances, distinct from published gates and play. Costs reuse the guide’s editable concession allowances, shared food/drink/tax/tip calculation and October 2026 adult subway fare; full fares are used in the family example. Paid ticket costs remain separate until a checkout total is known.

Grounds navigation combines the official 2026 site and accessibility guidance with reviewed OpenStreetMap paths. Distances follow consecutive geographic source nodes. Estimated times use 65–45 metres per minute plus 1–3 minutes for orientation and ordinary pedestrian traffic. They exclude screening, queues, indoor circulation and seating. Mapped paths are outdoor approaches, not certified step-free itineraries; temporary barriers and staff instructions take priority.

US Open history and singles honour rolls reviewed 19 October 2026 against USTA records. Men’s coverage is 1881–2026; women’s is 1887–2026. These are champions lists, not complete draws or player entry lists. Historical source spellings are retained; alternative names are not merged into player identities. Scores, doubles, juniors and wheelchair honour rolls are outside this release.

The four court and seating guides were prepared on 18 October 2026 from current official seating-chart links, accessibility and admission pages, USTA stadium design reporting, the announced Ashe transformation and the Stadium 17 decking supplier’s project account. Historical design articles support permanent architecture, not current concessions or future session calendars. Baseline, side and corner recommendations and audience comparisons are editorial interpretation of the seating geometry; they are not surveyed sightline or shade guarantees. Armstrong’s current chart distinguishes general admission and reserved loge areas, so upper-concourse access is not treated as universally unreserved. Exact 2027 seat assignments, interior circulation and package inclusions follow the applicable seller’s plan and ticket. Existing coordinates, court geometry, entrances, mapped paths, ticket products, prices and accepted galleries are retained.

The first-visit match-day guide was prepared on 18 October 2026 using current official US Open mobile-entry, visit, accessibility, A–Z and transport pages, MTA’s stadium guide, and the existing hotel, venue, ticket and transit records. Ordinary routes and current policies support planning; actual session entry, 2027 stadium circulation, dated service, lift availability and event-ramp operation determine the journey. The day/evening plans are editorial sequences, not a published timetable. No new fares, departure times, court entitlements, pickup coordinates or hotel journey durations are introduced.

Match-day essentials use official organiser information and NYC heat advice available on 16 October 2026. The weather exchange document is explicitly the 2026 policy. Ticket-specific terms and event-day staff instructions take precedence; current source links are provided beside the relevant advice.

Activity prices and ordinary opening hours use current operator information reviewed 16 October 2026. Journey estimates use captured MTA daytime route runtimes with walking and transfer allowances; they are not live departures. Grand Central is the starting hub; Mets times start at the station, excluding the walk out of the grounds. Mainland ferry/tram approaches exclude boarding waits and crossings.
