The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
Choose a central resort with terrace room categories, restaurants and nightlife in the same building. Select the exact room view when booking.
01 / The stay
A terrace, a good dinner and the city on your doorstep
Terrace and fountain-view categories differ; a Strip view does not automatically include a race view or admission.
The Cosmopolitan suits a trip in which dinner matters almost as much as the racing. Its restaurant collection gives you several quite different evenings in one resort: Scarpetta for Italian cooking, Wicked Spoon for a substantial daytime meal, and the smaller counters of Block 16 when you want something quicker. You can make a proper occasion of eating here without organising a car for every reservation.
The terrace is the other reason to choose it. An outdoor place to sit changes how you use the room, particularly on a longer stay when you want breakfast or a conversation away from the casino. That experience belongs to the terrace categories; the hotel also sells other accommodation. Fountain-facing and city-facing choices offer different outlooks, so start with the kind of stay you want rather than assuming every room delivers the familiar promotional view.
For a very different meal from the larger restaurants, é by José Andrés sits behind a glass door inside Jaleo. Its small counter makes dinner a focused tasting-menu occasion, with a dedicated booking rather than an ordinary Jaleo table. That gives the Cosmopolitan a useful range: an elaborate counter dinner one evening, a casual food-hall meal on another. A longer stay lets you enjoy that variety without turning every day into a restaurant transfer.
Downstairs, the resort has a busy social character. Its bars, restaurants and entertainment make it appealing for couples and friends who want their hotel to be part of the evening. The Pool District adds another way to spend a free afternoon, with different settings across the resort. November swimming arrangements belong in your booking plans rather than being the reason to assume a summer-style pool holiday.
The west-Strip position works particularly well if Bellagio and ARIA feature in your plans. For racing, the important distance is still the route to your purchased entrance. A central address is useful, but it does not place every ticket zone outside the lift. Choose the Cosmopolitan for the terrace-and-dining combination, then match the race journey to it.
