From desert sunshine to midnight floodlight celebrations.
Experience Formula 1’s glamour-filled season finale under the Yas Marina floodlights. Choose the right grandstand for overtaking views, decide between trackside Yas Island luxury and lively Dubai commuter bases along the E11, and discover Abu Dhabi’s world-renowned mosques, museums, and theme parks.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is Formula 1’s definitive day-to-night spectacle. Starting under late-afternoon desert sunshine at 17:00 and concluding beneath thousands of high-output floodlights, Yas Marina’s 5.281 km layout rewards aerodynamic efficiency along its 1.2 km back straight and mechanical grip through the waterfront hotel complex.
For spectators, the defining travel decision is location. Yas Island keeps you close to the racing; Saadiyat adds beaches and museums, while the Corniche and Al Maryah offer city dining and waterfront stays. Dubai adds an intercity journey each race day. Confirm your actual gate, transfer arrangements and hotel terms before comparing the full cost.
North Grandstand is convenient for Etihad Park concerts. Allow extra time for taxis after the music and leave museums or beach visits for earlier in the day.
Beyond the grandstands
Discover
Abu Dhabi & Saadiyat.
From the floating dome of Louvre Abu Dhabi to sunset reflections at the Grand Mosque and thrill rides at Ferrari World, make time for the Emirates outside the paddock.
Cultural Landmarks & Museums
Louvre Abu Dhabi
Art, architecture and a waterfront setting come together beneath the museum’s patterned dome. Allow time for the galleries as well as the outdoor spaces, and keep the visit separate from a rushed journey to Yas Marina.
Cultural Landmarks & Museums
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
White marble courtyards, domes and reflective pools make this one of Abu Dhabi’s defining visits. It is an active place of worship: check visitor registration, dress requirements and the permitted visiting hours before setting out.
Yas Island Theme Parks
Ferrari World Abu Dhabi
An indoor theme park for visitors who want the motorsport theme to continue away from the grandstands. Give it a separate half-day or longer rather than squeezing a visit between circuit sessions.
Cultural Landmarks & Museums
Qasr Al Watan
Step inside the presidential palace visitor experience for monumental halls, craftsmanship and the story of government and knowledge. Pair it with the western Corniche, leaving a separate day for Yas Island.

01Accommodation
Yas Island keeps you close to racing and Yas Bay. Saadiyat suits a beach and museum extension; the Corniche, Al Maryah and Al Bateen offer city dining and waterfront hotels. Qasr Al Sarab and Telal are desert extensions, not convenient daily circuit bases.
Accommodation
- W Abu Dhabi — Yas Island ↗
Stay beside the racing at the circuit’s distinctive hotel. Confirm the exact room view and race-week access conditions: a room reservation is not a substitute for a Grand Prix ticket.
- Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island ↗
Choose Yas Bay for waterfront evenings and a Yas Island base. Ask the hotel how you will reach your ticketed circuit entrance and return after the last session; do not assume a special-event shuttle is included.
- The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort ↗
Make the beach part of the trip, with the cultural district on the same island. This is a resort-led stay rather than a circuit-side one: arrange race-day transport before committing.
- Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental ↗
A palace-style waterfront stay for visitors who want the hotel itself to be a major part of the holiday. Build in a separate journey to Yas Marina and keep city sightseeing for non-race hours.
- Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island ↗
A city base for waterfront dining and time around Al Maryah Island. Compare it with Yas Island on the transfer arrangements, not just the room: evening race traffic changes the practical choice.
- Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara ↗
Save this dune-surrounded resort for a dedicated stay before or after the Grand Prix. It is a desert extension, not a convenient base for commuting to the circuit each day.
- Yas Island Rotana ↗
Reliable, well-located business-resort hotel a short walk/shuttle from the paddock
- Radisson Blu Hotel, Abu Dhabi Yas Island ↗
Solid mid-range resort with pools, spa & good restaurants on the island

Comfortable island hotel within the Yas Plaza cluster, walkable to dining

Sleek, affordable Rotana 'Centro' brand — the value pick on the island

- Telal Resort, Al Ain area ↗
An Arabian-fort-style desert resort with stables & farm experiences — closer desert option
02Race & Circuit
Compare a reserved grandstand, Abu Dhabi Hill, Yas Suite, Paddock Club and marina hospitality by the view and access actually included. A hotel race suite or yacht package is not automatically a paddock pass.
Race & Circuit
- Yas Marina Circuit ↗
Choose a grandstand by its view of the lap and the journey to its entrance. The current course has 16 turns; older 21-turn diagrams predate the 2021 redesign. Confirm whether your purchase is a seat, hospitality package or another form of access.
- F1 Paddock Club™ ↗
The official premium product — open bar, celebrity-chef dining, pit-lane track walk, F1 trophy photo & guided paddock tour
- Yas Suite hospitality ↗
Air-conditioned suites on the top tier of the grandstands; food & soft drinks included (from ~AED 3,000 atop the North Grandstand)

- Marina Superyacht Hospitality ↗

- Main Grandstand ↗
Start/finish line, pit lane & garages, Turns 1 & last, and the podium — best for race build-up & ceremony
- North Grandstand ↗
Close-up of Turn 5 (a top overtaking zone since the 2021 redesign) and the easiest access to the Etihad Park after-race concerts
- West Grandstand ↗

04Yas Island Theme Parks
Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World, Yas Waterworld and SeaWorld offer very different days. CLYMB adds indoor climbing and skydiving. Ride entries belong inside their parent park, not at separate street entrances.
Yas Island Theme Parks
- Ferrari World Abu Dhabi ↗
An indoor theme park for visitors who want the motorsport theme to continue away from the grandstands. Give it a separate half-day or longer rather than squeezing a visit between circuit sessions.
- Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi ↗
Indoor themed lands bring familiar film and cartoon characters into a family day out. It is a useful Yas Island choice when your group wants a break from the racing; check ride restrictions before booking.
- Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi ↗
Slides, pools and water rides offer a different pace from a day in the grandstands. Set aside a dedicated visit, with time to change and return to your hotel before an evening circuit session.
- SeaWorld Abu Dhabi ↗
An indoor marine-life theme park with habitats, presentations and rides. Choose it as a substantial day out rather than an extra stop on an already crowded race-day plan.

AUH vs DXB airport routes, Dubai E11 express race coaches, Yas Express park-and-ride, and beating midnight taxi queues.
Airports and arrivals
- Zayed International Airport (AUH) ↗
The Abu Dhabi airport option. Match your flight to the hotel check-in and keep the first circuit visit comfortably after arrival. Confirm terminal pickup instructions with your transfer provider, especially for a late landing.
- Dubai International Airport (DXB) ↗
Consider Dubai only with the onward Abu Dhabi journey included in your plan. Compare the full transfer cost and travel time, and avoid treating an attractive flight fare as the complete arrival cost.
20Race-week planning
Twilight session timetables, sunset qualifying, Yasalam After-Race Concert wristbands, and post-race track access.
Race-week planning
- Friday 4 December — practice ↗
Use the first circuit day to learn the route from your hotel, your entrance and the return pickup point. Leave time around practice for security, walking and finding your seat.
- Saturday 5 December — practice and qualifying ↗
Make the circuit the main plan. Avoid a tightly timed attraction visit beforehand or a fixed dinner immediately after qualifying; queues and transfers are part of the day.
- Sunday 6 December — Grand Prix ↗
Keep race day focused on Yas Marina and agree your return arrangement in advance. An overnight stay after the race gives you more margin than a flight that depends on a quick exit.

Which grandstand is best at Yas Marina Circuit?
North Grandstand is best for heavy-braking overtakes into the Turn 5 hairpin and offers direct walking proximity to the evening Etihad Park concerts. West Grandstand captures 330 km/h braking duels from the long straight. Main Grandstand overlooks the start/finish straight and pit lane, while Marina and South Grandstands provide prime views of the illuminated W Abu Dhabi and yacht basin.
How much do Abu Dhabi F1 2026 tickets cost?
Three-day General Admission (Abu Dhabi Hill) passes start around AED 750–AED 995 ($205–$270 USD). Standard 3-day covered Grandstand seats (North, West, South, Marina) range from AED 1,650 to AED 3,500 ($450–$950 USD). Premium hospitality suites and Yas Marina Paddock Club packages range from AED 8,500 to AED 38,500+ ($2,300–$10,500+ USD).
Is it better to stay on Yas Island or commute from Dubai?
Stay on Yas Island if you prioritize walking to the circuit and avoiding traffic. Stay in Dubai Marina, JBR, or Downtown Dubai if you want lower hotel rates, superior dining and nightlife, and do not mind a 60- to 75-minute daily commute via direct race coach, rental car, or taxi along the E11 highway.
Are the after-race concerts included with Abu Dhabi F1 tickets?
Yes. Every valid Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket includes General Admission entry to the Yasalam After-Race Concerts at Etihad Park for that respective day. Golden Circle upgrades (providing front-of-stage fast-track access) can be purchased separately via the official Yas Marina Circuit app.
How do you travel between Dubai and Yas Marina on race days?
Take an official Grand Prix express coach departing from Dubai Marina or Downtown Dubai, book a private chauffeur, or drive along the E11 Sheikh Zayed Road (approx. 75 minutes). If driving, you must pre-purchase an official Yas Island park-and-ride parking pass corresponding to your grandstand color zone.
How do you avoid the 2-hour taxi queue after concerts at Etihad Park?
Avoid hailing street taxis outside Etihad Park or the main circuit gates at midnight. Instead, pre-book return coach transfers to Dubai, walk 15 minutes across the footbridge to Yas Mall for rideshare pickups, or enjoy dinner at Yas Marina restaurants until crowds clear after 01:00.
Are grandstands covered from the sun at Yas Marina Circuit?
Main, North, West, South and Marina have roofs, but shade varies with your row and the sun’s position. Abu Dhabi Hill is open-air. Check the individual ticket for Straight grandstand and hospitality cover, and bring sun protection for daytime sessions.
