Where to stay

### Manhattan or Queens: choose your base.

Stay near Grand Central or Times Square for a Manhattan city break with a direct 7 train. Long Island City keeps you in Queens while leaving Manhattan easy to reach. Downtown Flushing offers dining close to the hotel and a short subway leg to Mets–Willets Point.

Compare Budget, Mid-range and VIP options using your own dates and party size. Totals are estimates before taxes and compulsory fees. Confirm the hotel’s full price, room occupancy, cancellation and any minimum stay before booking.

If you need step-free travel, compare the complete route before choosing a hotel. Mets LIRR is not accessible, and the Mets subway ramp serves only the Flushing-bound platform during major events. The direct arrival from a Flushing hotel therefore needs a different accessible approach.

### Plan your journey to the tennis.

Choose a hotel and your ticketed entrance. Compare the public-transport route below before deciding whether to walk; Manhattan and Long Island City stays need a train journey for most visitors. Main Entry is the usual station approach; if your ticket names Champions’ Entry, follow the separate signed approach and event instructions for that gate.

The station route is followed by the grounds approach, screening and the walk to your court. Door-to-gate times, last trains, event ramp hours and hotel shuttles for 2027 are to be confirmed.

Sources & travel notes

The 2027 guide is a research draft. The WTA listing covers its women’s event, not the complete programme. Fan Week, qualifying, mixed doubles and individual session dates remain unresolved.

The complex pin uses the geographic source’s published decimal coordinates. It does not identify an entrance. Year-round operator directions are retained separately from tournament-day arrival instructions.

The 28 New York attraction stories were expanded on 18 October 2026 using retained operator evidence and targeted current museum, park, transport and collection pages. Named collection works explain the character of a visit; rotations, maintenance and dated programmes determine what is accessible on a particular day. Older walking guides support enduring design and collection context, not current hours or a fixed future installation. Each attraction’s US Open timing advice is separate from its stable city story. Existing admission arithmetic, journeys, galleries and trip templates are retained.

Court identities were compared with the organiser’s 2025 grounds PDF and its 2026 hospitality map. Court pins and outlines derive from specific OpenStreetMap features; gate pins retain named geographic gate nodes. These are existing locations, not certification of the final 2027 circulation or ticket entitlements.

Arthur Ashe’s playing-area outline is retained, while its renovated exterior and new entrances are omitted pending geographic evidence. President’s Entry has conflicting geographic and schematic positions. Practice Courts P6–P17 beyond the boardwalk, temporary zones and complete accessible gate-to-seat routes remain unresolved.

The sixteen New York area guides group existing published venues for trip planning; the groupings are not administrative boundaries or additional visitable places. Their links retain each venue’s sourced coordinates and existing gallery. Named-place return estimates join the existing dining/activity planning records and start at Mets–Willets Point station. Outward route descriptions follow ordinary network connections; late service, event trains, station lifts and ramp opening require dated travel information. They do not guarantee 2027 departures or a fully step-free route. No new fares, prices or hotel quotes are introduced.

Ticket research reviewed on 15 October 2026. The official individual-ticket and plan pages invite 2027 sale alerts but retain 2026 product tables. Historical court access is kept separately from unknown 2027 session entitlements; no 2026 date, session number, price or weather remedy has been rolled forward.

The WTA women’s date range does not establish the full programme or ticket validity. No dated ticket products or session slots are enabled until the organiser publishes the relevant 2027 offers. Hospitality enquiries do not establish a reserved booking or live stock.

The 2027 hospitality announcement supports the three broad suite/club comparisons. Its placeholder copy, example parking allocations and inconsistent club counts are excluded. Named 2026 clubs and off-court experiences are not treated as confirmed 2027 products.

The organiser’s 2026 ticket landing page and admission article disagree about grounds-pass dates. No historical range is used as a 2027 admission window. Current terms and the 2026 weather-policy link are supplied for review; final conditions must match the ticket year, channel and offer.

The ticket decision page was prepared on 19 October 2026 using current official individual-ticket, plan, FAQ and hospitality pages, retained 2026 admission evidence and the current stadium seating charts reviewed for the court guides. Recommendations for one day, several visits and hospitality value are editorial comparisons, not ticket offers or guaranteed savings. Existing edition-specific product, session, access-zone, policy and price records remain unchanged; no dated booking option, final 2027 gate time, fare or ticket price was created. Older plan tables and their session counts are not carried forward. Booking guidance distinguishes alerts and enquiries from admission.

Transport guidance was reviewed on 15 October 2026. MTA operator rows supply the retained station coordinates and route shapes. Airport station reference nodes are OpenStreetMap features; they are not terminal doors or pickup bays.

The captured GTFS rows cover current services, not the published 2027 women’s event window. Calendar rules and exceptions were checked against that window; no 2027 departures, last trains or free tournament-travel entitlement is published here. Airport links, interchanges and station-to-gate handoffs have no invented line geometry or walking times.

Fare comparisons are October 2026 adult fares in USD, not confirmed 2027 prices. Current airport disruptions are not carried into 2027. Event ramp operation, 2027 pickup and assistance arrangements, and accessible gate-to-seat routes after the Arthur Ashe renovation remain open.

MTA geographic data, obtained and hosted by Above.Guide, is used under the MTA developer terms. Above.Guide is not an official MTA product. Airport station nodes: © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL.

Network expansion reviewed on 16 October 2026. Nine MTA GTFS feeds supply all configured active route identities, complete route-stop membership witnesses and referenced shapes. Public display shapes retain source vertices with an eight-metre simplification tolerance; no invented airport rail or walking connectors are drawn.

Airport rail and PATH geometry comes from named OpenStreetMap route relations. NJ Transit’s airport corridor is a continuous source-track path between named rail stop positions, rather than an inferred line between station markers. Physical route geometry does not establish stopping patterns or 2027 services.

Four exterior pedestrian paths reproduce consecutive edges of reviewed public OpenStreetMap ways and finish at the existing named gate nodes. Distances derive from that source geometry. They do not certify accessible travel, future construction access or security circulation; the conditional event ramp remains a separate unmapped approach.

New York owns the hotel identities, geographic references and selected real photographs. The US Open projection adds 2027 room allowances, arrival/return advice and booking questions. Hotel tiers are editorial comparisons, not official ratings or guaranteed price rankings.

Room allowances are editorial USD estimates for 28 August–13 September 2027, around the published WTA women’s window; this is not the confirmed full tournament programme. The default is four nights from 28 August–1 September for two adults. Saved dates and party size take precedence; extra adults scale estimated rooms, while children and dates outside the window require a quote. No dated availability, room quote or minimum stay is confirmed. Taxes and compulsory fees are additional.

Hotel pins are named property references or operator map/directions markers. Hyatt Place Flushing uses the sourced One Fulton Square host-complex polygon, not a hotel door or precise footprint; conflicting generic listing pins were excluded. Route descriptions join the retained 7 train station references and Main Entry. They do not invent walking geometry, door-to-gate times, hotel shuttles or 2027 accessible routes.

Selected photographs show the named hotel and room/space. Only LIC Hotel’s lead currently meets the full-building exterior requirement. The other seven complete-building exterior views remain open; room and interior photographs are not accepted as completion of that requirement. Cropped entrances are supplementary gallery views only. Room and terrace features depend on the category booked.

Hotel rooms, facilities and breakfast arrangements were expanded using current hotel/brand information reviewed 16 October 2026. Named room categories control beds, kitchens and accessible bathrooms. Standard, club and breakfast-inclusive rates have separate entitlements; the current Pod facility fee is additional to the room price. Room allowances remain editable estimates rather than dated booking quotes.

The New York city collection contains ten stable venue identities and geographic pins, separate from US Open 2027 session advice and named hotel connections. Operational references were captured on 16 October 2026; 2027 hours, exhibitions, events, kitchen service and prices are not confirmed. Visit durations are editorial allowances, not journey timetables.

Dining spend ranges are editorial USD allowances per person before tax and tip, not captured 2027 menu offers. Queens Museum currently uses pay-what-you-wish admission with $8 suggested for adults; MoMA PS1 currently offers free general admission to all. Reconfirm for the travel date.

Actual venue photographs retain their original scene and credited licence. Photograph dates vary; furniture, exhibitions, menus and seasonal conditions may change. Eataly’s 2013 photographs precede its other New York branch openings and are catalogued as Eataly NYC.

New World Mall’s food court, Ess-a-Bagel Midtown East, the Morgan and the Met remain research candidates. Incomplete exact-branch dining galleries and uncompleted museum location/media reviews keep those candidates outside the published city collection. No restaurant or city attraction implies US Open admission, re-entry or a guaranteed match finish.

Food recommendations use operator menus, Michelin’s 2025 New York selection, local food reporting and the US Open’s 2026 dining directory, reviewed 16 October 2026. Prices and service can change. The market has a tournament break; carts can move. On-site map pins identify the host complex, while the organiser’s map identifies outlets and admission areas.

New York activity guidance uses the current operator, NYC Tourism, NYC Parks and National Park Service information reviewed 16 October 2026. Dated performances, exhibitions, games and ferry services must be selected for the travel dates. Route pins distinguish a destination from its entrance or mainland departure.

Family and accessibility arrangements use official USTA visitor, ticket and accessibility guidance and MTA station/event guidance reviewed 19 October 2026. Programme-linked free admission refers to the completed 2026 Fan Week; paid admission is additional. Day durations, break frequency and family arrival margins are flexible editorial suggestions, not published opening hours or clinical advice. No future seat availability, assistance booking, quiet room, adult changing facility or certified gate-to-seat route is implied. Existing sourced place coordinates, 30 outdoor walks, accepted images and 17 saved trip templates are unchanged.

Fan Week admission and programme examples are edition-bound to the completed 2026 event. No 2027 sessions, registration availability, paid ticket prices or player appearances are created. Suggested arrival/day-plan times are editorial planning allowances, distinct from published gates and play. Costs reuse the guide’s editable concession allowances, shared food/drink/tax/tip calculation and October 2026 adult subway fare; full fares are used in the family example. Paid ticket costs remain separate until a checkout total is known.

Grounds navigation combines the official 2026 site and accessibility guidance with reviewed OpenStreetMap paths. Distances follow consecutive geographic source nodes. Estimated times use 65–45 metres per minute plus 1–3 minutes for orientation and ordinary pedestrian traffic. They exclude screening, queues, indoor circulation and seating. Mapped paths are outdoor approaches, not certified step-free itineraries; temporary barriers and staff instructions take priority.

US Open history and singles honour rolls reviewed 19 October 2026 against USTA records. Men’s coverage is 1881–2026; women’s is 1887–2026. These are champions lists, not complete draws or player entry lists. Historical source spellings are retained; alternative names are not merged into player identities. Scores, doubles, juniors and wheelchair honour rolls are outside this release.

The four court and seating guides were prepared on 18 October 2026 from current official seating-chart links, accessibility and admission pages, USTA stadium design reporting, the announced Ashe transformation and the Stadium 17 decking supplier’s project account. Historical design articles support permanent architecture, not current concessions or future session calendars. Baseline, side and corner recommendations and audience comparisons are editorial interpretation of the seating geometry; they are not surveyed sightline or shade guarantees. Armstrong’s current chart distinguishes general admission and reserved loge areas, so upper-concourse access is not treated as universally unreserved. Exact 2027 seat assignments, interior circulation and package inclusions follow the applicable seller’s plan and ticket. Existing coordinates, court geometry, entrances, mapped paths, ticket products, prices and accepted galleries are retained.

The first-visit match-day guide was prepared on 18 October 2026 using current official US Open mobile-entry, visit, accessibility, A–Z and transport pages, MTA’s stadium guide, and the existing hotel, venue, ticket and transit records. Ordinary routes and current policies support planning; actual session entry, 2027 stadium circulation, dated service, lift availability and event-ramp operation determine the journey. The day/evening plans are editorial sequences, not a published timetable. No new fares, departure times, court entitlements, pickup coordinates or hotel journey durations are introduced.

Match-day essentials use official organiser information and NYC heat advice available on 16 October 2026. The weather exchange document is explicitly the 2026 policy. Ticket-specific terms and event-day staff instructions take precedence; current source links are provided beside the relevant advice.

Activity prices and ordinary opening hours use current operator information reviewed 16 October 2026. Journey estimates use captured MTA daytime route runtimes with walking and transfer allowances; they are not live departures. Grand Central is the starting hub; Mets times start at the station, excluding the walk out of the grounds. Mainland ferry/tram approaches exclude boarding waits and crossings. Child ages, residency and pass concessions require individual selection.

Check the official order of play, ticket conditions and last transport home for your chosen day. Match finish times vary.

| Borough | Queens |
| Area | Long Island City · Court Square |
| Short Description | A small Court Square base with hot breakfast, a Manhattan-view rooftop and genuinely different bed layouts. |
| Description | LIC Hotel makes a useful choice when the priorities are a convenient Queens base, breakfast before setting out and enough of the hotel budget left for the city. Its 21st Street address puts you in Long Island City around Court Square, where the trip can move between Manhattan outings and time spent in Queens without changing hotels. The hotel’s two most useful shared spaces serve opposite ends of the day. A complimentary hot breakfast buffet gives the morning a straightforward starting point, while the rooftop offers Manhattan skyline views when you return. The appeal is a small independent stay with those practical extras, rather than a large hotel built around several restaurants and leisure facilities. Room choice makes a real difference here. The catalogue separates a room for one traveller, a couple’s stay, friends who want individual beds and a small family. That is more useful than treating every low-priced room as interchangeable: the most economical bed arrangement may not be the one that works best over several nights with luggage. The room choices below identify the actual layouts. MoMA PS1 and the East River waterfront give a Long Island City stay a purpose beyond commuting into Manhattan. They are separate outings from Court Square, with Gantry Plaza offering the open-air skyline walk and PS1 a contemporary-art visit. A hotel around Court Square does not mean that its front door is on the waterfront. Choose LIC Hotel for a trip in which the hotel supports the days out. The rooftop is a worthwhile extra, but it is not a substitute for a larger bedroom or an indoor lounge on a wet day. Travellers who expect a substantial hotel restaurant, extensive leisure facilities or separate living space should compare those priorities with the larger hotels before choosing solely by the starting room price. For the US Open, Court Square gives you a Flushing-bound 7 journey to Mets–Willets Point. This is a Queens base with a rail trip, rather than a hotel beside the grounds. It works especially well when you also want Manhattan and Long Island City days; the return still includes the walk from the station to 21st Street. |
| Stay Tradeoff | A modest independent stay with useful breakfast and rooftop space; choose the room layout carefully and allow for the walk to Court Square. |

#### Pod 39

| Detail | Information |

| Name | Pod 39 |
| Title | Pod 39 |
| City Id | new-york |
| Country | United States |
| Country Code | US |
| Category | accommodation |
| Category Slug | accommodation |
| Budget Tier Id | budget |
| Tier | budget |
| Borough | Manhattan |
| Area | Murray Hill · Midtown East |
| Short Description | A Murray Hill hotel with compact private-bathroom pods, social spaces and a practical Grand Central connection. |
| Description | Pod 39 puts its character into the shared spaces as much as the bedrooms. Behind the older Murray Hill façade are a lively lobby and the Playroom Lounge, where board games, places to work and a fireplace give you somewhere to spend time beyond the room. It suits visitors who plan to use New York extensively and want a smaller Manhattan base with some personality. The accommodation is deliberately compact. For a solo traveller, that can be a sensible exchange for the location; for two people with large cases, it is a more consequential choice. The useful distinction is between having somewhere comfortable to sleep and wanting the bedroom itself to be a substantial part of the holiday. The separate-bed and connected family options are explained in the room details, rather than assumed from the headline price. Arthur & Sons supplies an Italian dining option at the property, while Artie’s Backroom adds another reason to come back for a drink or a bite on a city evening. The rooftop and lounge appeal should be treated as public-space experiences, not as a view promised from an ordinary bedroom. Restaurant and bar opening hours remain separate from hotel reception. Murray Hill works well for a trip that includes Grand Central, Midtown and time further afield. The station provides connections across the city, but it is also an outing in its own right; Bryant Park offers a different stop to the west. Staying here gives you a Manhattan evening around the city portion of the trip, instead of returning to Queens every night. The compromise is space, together with a compulsory nightly facility fee that needs to sit alongside the room price in a comparison. Breakfast is another distinction: the fee includes morning coffee and tea, rather than a full breakfast buffet. Pod 39 can work very well for a light-packing city stay, but the apparent saving should be judged against the whole rate and the layout you actually want. For tennis, walk to Grand Central for the 7. The advantage is the combination of a Midtown East base and a through subway journey to Mets–Willets Point; the trade-off is a longer return across Queens than from a Flushing hotel. Keep a rooftop or restaurant booking on a separate evening from a match with an uncertain finish. |
| Stay Tradeoff | Compact rooms and a compulsory facility fee; morning coffee and tea are not a full breakfast, and the rooftop is a shared venue. |

| Borough | Manhattan |
| Area | Midtown West · Times Square |
| Short Description | Compact pods on West 42nd Street, with Broadway nearby and apartment-style Pod Pads for a different kind of stay. |
| Description | Pod Times Square is a Midtown West choice with two different ways to stay. The familiar pods concentrate the bedroom into a small, functional space, while Pod Pads offer apartment-style accommodation with kitchens and living areas. Comparing the two is more useful than assuming the hotel has one standard room experience. In a pod, the point of the address is what you can do outside. Broadway and the Theatre District lie to the east, while the Hudson side gives you another direction for a city day, including the Intrepid Museum. Port Authority is nearby, but the walk through the Times Square station complex to the 7 is still part of the journey; the hotel is not sitting directly over that platform. Pod Pads change the balance for visitors who want to spend more time at the hotel. Their separate sitting and dining spaces, together with a kitchen, make them worth comparing for a longer trip or for people who want more control over meals. They are separately named accommodation products, not a kitchen upgrade that comes with an ordinary Full, Bunk or Queen Pod. Extended-stay rates require 30 nights; shorter Pod Pad stays are advertised separately and need their own availability and terms. The lobby bar offers an on-the-go breakfast option, and the Terrace provides a place for a drink after a city day. That social provision is useful when a small bedroom would otherwise be your only place to sit. Direct-booking gym access is another practical distinction to compare with a third-party rate, while the nightly facility fee belongs in every like-for-like price comparison. Choose this address if theatre, Midtown West and a relatively simple subway route matter more than having a large standard bedroom. Travellers looking for a substantial breakfast buffet or an ordinary room with apartment facilities should compare the actual product and inclusions carefully. A modest pod rate and a furnished Pod Pad answer different needs, even though they share an address. The 7 from Times Square runs towards Mets–Willets Point, giving you a through train once you reach its platforms. The price of a Manhattan entertainment base is the west-side station walk and a longer cross-city return than a Queens stay. It is especially useful when you are giving Broadway or the Hudson waterfront their own day alongside the tennis. |
| Stay Tradeoff | A small standard pod, a compulsory nightly facility fee and a walk to the 7; kitchens and larger living areas belong to Pod Pads. |

##### Faq

| Q | A |
| --- | --- |
| How do I get from this hotel to the US Open? | Walk to Times Sq–42 St · 7 train, take a Flushing-bound 7 to Mets–Willets Point, then follow the signed tennis-center approach to Main Entry. Confirm the entrance and opening time on your 2027 ticket. |
| What changes if I need step-free travel? | The Mets event ramp is on the Flushing-bound platform and opens for major events only. Check its 2027 hours and lifts at your starting station. Mets LIRR is not accessible; use the 7 approach when you need the ramp. Final accessible circulation into renovated Arthur Ashe is to be confirmed; arrange the hotel room and venue assistance separately. |
| What is the difference between a pod and a Pod Pad? | Full, Bunk and Queen Pods are compact private-bathroom rooms. Pod Pads are separate one- or two-bedroom apartment-style products with kitchens, living and dining space. Book the actual Pod Pad category if that is what you need. |
| Which pod suits a couple or two friends? | Queen Pods provide one queen bed. Bunk Pods provide twin bunk beds for two people. Full Pods have a full bed and can sleep two, but the hotel recommends them for solo travellers. |
| Is breakfast or gym access included? | The hotel advertises an on-the-go lobby breakfast, rather than an included full buffet. Complimentary gym access is a direct-booking benefit; compare that inclusion on your selected rate. |
| What additional charges apply? | For an ordinary hotel-pod booking, the current compulsory facility fee is $29.84 including tax per room per night, added to the room rate. The current FAQ also describes a $50 refundable security deposit authorised with the full stay amount at arrival. A refundable hold is separate from the room cost. Extended-stay Pod Pad contracts have separate deposit and charge terms. |
| What are the check-in conditions? | Check-in is 15:00 and checkout 13:00. The minimum check-in age is 18 and a credit or debit card is required at arrival. The hotel’s current payment policy allows cash settlement at checkout, with the corresponding card authorisation credited back. |
| Are Pod Pads suitable for a longer stay? | Pod Pads have kitchens, living and dining space, with access to residents’ laundry and shared facilities. Extended-stay rates require at least 30 nights, while the hotel group also advertises shorter Pod Pad stays. The extended-stay offer has its own deposit, housekeeping and charge terms; obtain the actual short-stay or apartment contract rather than applying one product’s inclusions to the other. |

| Tier | mid |
| Borough | Queens |
| Area | Downtown Flushing · One Fulton Square |
| Short Description | A Flushing stay with a breakfast buffet, varied room layouts and the neighbourhood’s dining around the corner. |
| Description | Hyatt Place Flushing makes the neighbourhood part of the stay. Its 39th Avenue location puts you among central Flushing’s shops and restaurants, with Flushing–Main Street providing the rail connection. This is a useful choice for visitors who want their Queens evenings to feel like a part of the trip rather than simply the place where they return to sleep. The hotel combines bedrooms and a sofa-or-seating approach to living space with a breakfast buffet and a 24-hour fitness centre. That makes its appeal different from a compact Manhattan pod: there is more reason to compare the room layouts for a longer stay, and a practical morning routine already at the hotel. Specific room names matter because some categories have sofa beds and others explicitly do not. Food can stay uncomplicated on a busy day. The Breakfast Bar supplies the buffet, The Placery provides a lobby-bar dining option, and The Market has packaged food available around the clock. The wider neighbourhood offers a much larger dining choice. Shanghai You Garden and White Bear are already part of the guide’s Flushing food selection, so a city day can be built around the places you want to try rather than another journey into Manhattan. The hotel also advertises a rooftop lounge with a garden setting and skyline views. Treat that as a separate social venue with its own hours rather than a feature attached to every bedroom. Its airport name is useful context for a LaGuardia arrival, but the location is central Flushing, with streets, restaurants and a substantial station area around it. The main trade-off is the balance between Queens and Manhattan. This is a strong base if you intend to eat locally and explore Queens. If most evenings are planned around Manhattan theatre, jazz or restaurants, you will be making that longer journey in the opposite direction. Room and breakfast convenience do not remove that geographic choice. For the tennis, the published route uses the 7 from Flushing–Main Street to Mets–Willets Point. The short rail leg is attractive, but the Manhattan-bound platform at Mets is not the event-ramp side. Travellers who need that ramp have a different approach via the Flushing-bound platform; use the detailed accessible journey rather than treating one stop as a complete step-free trip. |
| Stay Tradeoff | Good for Flushing dining and the tennis, with a longer trip to Manhattan; sofa beds and accessible bathroom layouts vary by named room. |

| Borough | Queens |
| Area | Long Island City · Queensboro Plaza |
| Short Description | A Court Square-area stay with breakfast, a 24-hour gym and room choices that provide more space than a pod. |
| Description | Hyatt Place Long Island City offers a useful middle ground between a small Manhattan bedroom and a hotel farther into eastern Queens. Its 43rd Avenue address sits around the Court Square and Queens Plaza transport area, so the stay can work for Manhattan sightseeing, Queens outings and journeys east towards Flushing. The room range gives this hotel much of its practical appeal. There are straightforward king rooms, layouts with a sofa bed or trundle arrangement, two-queen options and a king suite. The choice is about how you will use the room over several days: two people working around luggage, friends wanting separate beds or a family requiring a particular sleeping arrangement should compare the named categories, rather than assume every room has the same extra bed. Breakfast and the shared facilities support a relatively simple daily routine. A complimentary Breakfast Bar is advertised, and the fitness centre is open around the clock. The Placery provides a lobby-bar food option, while The Market covers packaged snacks and drinks. That combination is especially useful on a trip with mixed timings: not every morning needs to start with finding a café, and there is an alternative to a full restaurant when the priority is a small meal. Long Island City also gives you city days that stay in Queens. MoMA PS1 and the Gantry Plaza waterfront are different outings from the hotel’s transport-focused streets. For a larger art or skyline day in Manhattan, the rail links remain the principal reason to choose the area. A Court Square-area address should not be mistaken for a room directly on the East River. This is a good fit when usable room space and breakfast matter more than sleeping in Manhattan itself. The compromise is that restaurants, waterfront walks and stations are separate destinations around the neighbourhood; the hotel is not a self-contained resort. Its advantage is the combination of those city connections with practical accommodation, not a promise that every attraction is outside the door. For the US Open, use Court Square for the Flushing-bound 7 to Mets–Willets Point. This keeps the main journey on one subway line while retaining a base close to Manhattan. The final street walk, event queues and the return route after a long match remain part of the day; compare those with a Flushing stay if the tennis will dominate every outing. |

Its East 42nd Street address places Grand Central and the Midtown East portion of the trip close together, while retaining a conventional hotel experience rather than the deliberately compact approach of a pod. Amuse Marketplace & Bar gives the stay a useful food anchor. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, so the hotel can provide a meal on a city day without another restaurant journey. Breakfast is a paid service unless a chosen package or entitlement covers it. That distinction matters when comparing the Westin with the breakfast-inclusive Queens choices: a larger Manhattan hotel is not automatically a more inclusive rate. The bedrooms and suites are organised into Traditional, Deluxe and Premium choices, with separate view and one-bedroom products. The useful purchase decision is whether you want a standard bedroom, a particular view or a more divided living arrangement. A higher category should be chosen for its actual features, rather than for an assumption that every room above the basic rate includes a lounge, breakfast or a separate sitting room. The complimentary 24-hour fitness centre is a practical facility on a stay with irregular sporting hours. The hotel also lists room service, but restaurant and room-service operating times should remain separate from the fact that reception can receive you late. A match that runs into the night is not a restaurant reservation with a predictable arrival time. Grand Central is both a connection and a worthwhile city stop. Bryant Park and the wider Midtown area can form the Manhattan side of the holiday, while the hotel’s position on 42nd Street keeps the return leg understandable after a long day away. Choose the Westin for that combination of services and location; the trade-off is the cost of a Manhattan base and meals or parking that sit outside a room-only rate. The tennis journey begins with a walk to Grand Central and the Flushing-bound 7. This is particularly useful if your city plans are concentrated in Midtown East. A Queens hotel can shorten the return from the grounds, while the Westin gives you more of the Manhattan part of the trip around the hotel. Keep the hotel’s 16:00 check-in and 11:00 checkout in mind when arranging arrival, luggage and onward travel. |
| Stay Tradeoff | Full-service Manhattan convenience, with paid breakfast on a room-only rate, costly parking and a longer return from the tennis than a Flushing base. |

| How do I get from this hotel to the US Open? | Walk to Grand Central–42 St · 7 train, take a Flushing-bound 7 to Mets–Willets Point, then follow the signed tennis-center approach to Main Entry. |
| What room choice makes sense for a longer stay? | Compare the Traditional, Deluxe and Premium room categories with a named One Bedroom Suite. Premium King View is a specific view product. The hotel lists Heavenly Beds and Heavenly Bath rainforest showers; the actual bed layout and bathroom must be part of your selected room. |
| Is breakfast included? | Breakfast is available at Amuse Marketplace & Bar for a fee. Use a breakfast-inclusive package or an applicable entitlement if you want it covered; do not assume a room-only rate includes the meal. |
| What facilities are available? | The hotel lists a complimentary 24-hour fitness centre, Amuse Marketplace & Bar and room service. The fitness centre includes cardio and strength equipment. Restaurant and room-service hours are separate from hotel reception. |
| What arrival conditions matter? | Current check-in is 16:00 and checkout 11:00. The minimum check-in age is 21. Arrange luggage and any early arrival directly rather than assuming access to the room before check-in. |
| Should I bring a car? | The current published daily parking charge is $100, rising to $125 for SUVs and oversize vehicles, with a daily charge each time a vehicle is taken in or out. Public transport avoids using a car for the stadium trip; compare the actual parking terms before driving. |
| Can I request an accessible room? | The hotel publishes accessibility features and a separate accessible-room booking filter. Reserve the exact room and bathroom required and discuss the street-to-room route. A general room reservation is not the same as securing those features. |

| Short Description | A Tangram hotel with rooftop dining, an indoor pool and concierge-level choices in the heart of Flushing. |
| Description | Renaissance New York Flushing makes the Tangram complex part of the hotel experience. You arrive at a property connected to a substantial mix of food, shopping and cinema, with the wider Flushing neighbourhood outside. It is a premium Queens choice for visitors who want to spend their city time locally as well as travel to Manhattan. Prime Met Steakhouse and Rooftop Lounge gives the hotel its most distinctive dining setting. Its menu brings an Asian influence to a Western steakhouse format, with whiskey and sake among the bar’s specialities. The rooftop is a reason to plan a hotel evening in its own right; it should not be treated as an ordinary room view or as a restaurant guaranteed to be serving after any late return. The facilities go beyond a lobby and a bedroom. Guests have complimentary use of a heated indoor pool and a fitness centre open 24 hours. These are useful distinctions for visitors choosing a hotel for more than its postcode, although swimming hours and any temporary operating restrictions still matter. Nearby spa businesses are separate from the hotel’s own leisure facilities. The room catalogue separates standard, deluxe and concierge-level products. Club access is an important part of that comparison because it can change where breakfast and daytime refreshments fit into the stay. A standard room and a concierge-level room should therefore be compared on their actual inclusions, not simply treated as the same bedroom at different prices. Central Flushing rewards a stay built around food and neighbourhood time. Shanghai You Garden and White Bear are among the guide’s local dining choices, while Tangram supplies another set of options within the hotel complex. This can make a Queens evening more appealing than returning immediately to Manhattan. The main geographic trade-off is that Manhattan’s museums, theatre and restaurants still require a separate journey. For the US Open, Flushing–Main Street provides the short rail leg to Mets–Willets Point. That proximity does not make the hotel a ticketed-grounds entrance or remove the walk at either end. The ramp-accessible approach has an important direction-of-travel difference from the ordinary Manhattan-bound 7 trip, so retain the guide’s detailed accessible route when choosing this base. |
| Stay Tradeoff | A premium Flushing stay with pool and rooftop appeal; ordinary breakfast is paid, and lounge benefits depend on the booked room or a qualifying entitlement. |

| Tier | vip |
| Borough | Manhattan |
| Area | Fifth Avenue · Midtown |
| Short Description | A spacious Fifth Avenue luxury stay with Ai Fiori dining, kitchen-equipped room choices and a separate club experience. |
| Description | The Langham, New York is a choice for visitors who want the hotel itself to carry a meaningful part of the holiday. Its Fifth Avenue address combines Midtown access with a room range that includes substantially different ways to stay: a conventional luxury bedroom, a family room, a kitchen-equipped category or a suite. A longer stay or a family trip gives the kitchen and separate living-space options a clear purpose. Ai Fiori is an important part of the hotel’s character. The restaurant takes its inspiration from the French and Italian Riviera and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner; Bar Fiori offers another setting for a drink, snacks or the restaurant menu. This makes a planned hotel dinner a worthwhile city evening, while breakfast and club dining remain separate inclusion decisions on the room reservation. The Langham Club adds a fourth-floor space overlooking Fifth Avenue, with breakfast, refreshments and evening cocktails and canapés. It changes the shape of a stay when your chosen room or purchased access includes it, but a luxury room price alone is not enough to establish that benefit. Its evening service also finishes earlier than a late evening out, so it should not become the only plan for eating after a show or a late arrival. The gym supplies a more conventional practical facility, with cardio and strength equipment and virtual workout options. Guests can also enquire about separately arranged in-room skincare treatments. These are distinct choices, rather than a promise that every luxury-hotel leisure experience is included in the room. The appeal is a comfortable city base with dining and service options that can be selected to suit the stay. Bryant Park and Grand Central give the surrounding Midtown days a useful structure, while the Fifth Avenue location places the Manhattan part of the holiday around the hotel. The geographic choice is straightforward: this is a premium Manhattan stay, rather than a base in Queens. It makes most sense when you will spend time enjoying the hotel and its food as well as going out. For the US Open, walk to Grand Central for the 7, then continue from Mets–Willets Point to the ticketed entrance. The hotel is a strong choice for a mixed Manhattan-and-tennis holiday, with substantially more hotel space and service than a pod stay. If your priority is minimising every late return from the grounds, compare that experience with a Flushing base before paying for facilities you may rarely use. |

| How do I get from this hotel to the US Open? | Walk to 5 Av at 42 St · 7 train, take a Flushing-bound 7 to Mets–Willets Point, then follow the signed tennis-center approach to Main Entry. Confirm the entrance and opening time on your 2027 ticket. |
| What changes if I need step-free travel? | For the step-free station approach, use Grand Central–42 St instead of relying on the 5 Av entrance. Check its lift route, the Mets Flushing-bound event-ramp hours and the return via Flushing–Main St. Confirm hotel room access separately. Final accessible circulation into renovated Arthur Ashe is to be confirmed; arrange the hotel room and venue assistance separately. |
| Which rooms have kitchens? | The catalogue explicitly names Deluxe City View with Kitchen, Family Room with Kitchen and Club Executive Room with Kitchen, among other suite options. The Family Room with Kitchen has double beds, a full kitchen and capacity for four. A Superior Room is not a kitchen category. |
| How does a Superior Room differ from a family room? | The Superior Room has a king bed and is offered for two guests, with a Duxiana bed and a marble bathroom featuring a rainfall shower in a deep soaking tub. The Family Room with Kitchen is a different product, offered for four with double beds, a full kitchen, double vanity, separate shower and soaking tub. |
| What does club access include? | The fourth-floor Langham Club operates daily 07:00–20:30, with breakfast 07:00–11:00 and other refreshments, afternoon treats, evening cocktails and canapés. Access accompanies qualifying room categories or a separate purchase; establish the entitlement for each traveller on the booking. |
| How much does separately purchased club access cost? | Current published adult access is $225 plus tax per day in high season or $200 plus tax in low season. Ages 10–17 are $95 plus tax per day; children under 10 are complimentary. Obtain the applicable season and charge for your travel dates rather than assuming the lower price. |
| Where is breakfast served? | Ai Fiori serves breakfast 07:00–11:00 Monday–Friday and 07:30–11:30 on weekends. Club breakfast, when access is included or purchased, is a separate 07:00–11:00 service. Neither should be added to a room-only booking as an assumed inclusion. |
| Can I use the club for dinner after the tennis? | Do not rely on it for a late return: the club closes at 20:30 and its evening offering is cocktails and canapés, not an all-night dinner service. Ai Fiori and Bar Fiori have their own restaurant and bar hours. |
| What wellness facilities can I use? | The fitness centre lists cardio and strength equipment, Peloton bikes and Fitness on Demand classes. In-room Estheraphy skincare treatments can be arranged separately through the hotel; they are not a room-rate inclusion. |

## Accommodation

### LIC Hotel

| Detail | Information |
| --- | --- |
| Name | LIC Hotel |
| Title | LIC Hotel |
| City Id | new-york |
| Country | United States |
| Country Code | US |
| Category | accommodation |
| Category Slug | accommodation |
| Budget Tier Id | budget |
| Tier | budget |

### Pod 39

### Pod Times Square

| Country | United States |
| Country Code | US |
| Category | accommodation |

| Tier | budget |
| Borough | Manhattan |

#### Faq

| Q | A |

One step-free option is to continue to Woodside and change to a Flushing-bound 7, then use the Mets ramp when open. Check lifts, ramp hours and the extra return travel before choosing this base. Current hours are 06:00–09:30 Monday–Friday and 06:00–10:00 on weekends, with possible service changes. The buffet lists eggs, breakfast potatoes, yogurt, granola and fruit; your booking supplies the final inclusions. |
| Do all rooms have sofa beds? | No. The catalogue explicitly lists King Bed (No Sofa Bed), as well as king and two-queen categories with sofa beds. The named category is more reliable than assuming that every Cozy Corner converts into a bed. |
| Is there a larger option with a kitchen? | The Accessible King Bed One-Bedroom Suite/Roll-in Shower (with Sofa Bed) is listed at 64 m² and describes a kitchen area with a dining table and two bathrooms. It is a specific suite, not the standard layout of every room. |
| What can I eat after a late match? | The Market is listed as open 24 hours for packaged grab-and-go food. The Placery lists ordinary service from 06:00 to midnight and a late-night menu. Arrange the actual late selection with the hotel if you expect to return after normal dining service. |
| Does the airport shuttle take me to the tennis? | No tennis transfer is included here. The complimentary shuttle advertised on the room page concerns LaGuardia Airport; obtain its operating times and pickup arrangement from reception.
| Stay Tradeoff | A practical Queens hotel rather than a waterfront or Manhattan address; extra sleeping space depends on the exact room category. |

| Tier | mid |
| Borough | Manhattan |
| Area | Midtown East · Grand Central |
| Short Description | A full-service Midtown East hotel with Amuse dining, a 24-hour gym and Grand Central close to the tennis route. |
| Description | The Westin New York Grand Central is a straightforward choice for visitors who want a full-service Manhattan hotel with the station connection doing much of the work. |

| Q | A |
| --- | --- |
| How do I get from this hotel to the US Open? | Walk to Grand Central–42 St · 7 train, take a Flushing-bound 7 to Mets–Willets Point, then follow the signed tennis-center approach to Main Entry. |

| Area | Downtown Flushing · Tangram |

| Who can use the Club Lounge? | The hotel identifies an 11th-floor Club Lounge. Its room page advertises access for Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador Elite members, while concierge-level rooms have their own inclusions. A standard room without a qualifying entitlement should not be treated as a lounge-access booking. |

| What food is on site? | Prime Met Steakhouse and Rooftop Lounge combines a Western steakhouse approach with Asian influences, plus whiskey and sake specialities. The hotel also sits within Tangram’s dining and retail complex. Book any fixed dinner separately from a match with an uncertain finish. |
| What are the check-in and airport arrangements? | Current check-in is 15:00 and checkout noon, with a minimum check-in age of 18. The hotel advertises a complimentary LaGuardia shuttle; it does not provide that shuttle for JFK or Newark. Arrange the actual pickup and hours with reception. |
| Where should drivers arrive? | The hotel’s current valet instructions send drivers to the 39th Avenue entrance at 133-27 39th Avenue. The main hotel identity and public approach remain separate from the vehicle drop-off instruction; arrange an accessible arrival directly if needed. |

### The Langham, New York, Fifth Avenue

| Stay Tradeoff | A premium Manhattan price and a cross-city tennis journey; kitchen, terrace, family and club benefits belong to specific room categories or purchased access. |
