Arrival planner

## Nice Airport
*to your actual door.*

“Getting to Monaco” is only half an arrival plan. Your useful route ends at the accommodation door, with its luggage, gradients, station exit and race-week road conditions accounted for.

First choose the accommodation town

### The right airport route changes at the hotel door.

Nice

#### Airport tram to the city

Stay on the French network. Choose the stop for the accommodation rather than travelling east and backtracking. Your Monaco commute begins on the session day, not on arrival day.

Monaco · Monte-Carlo, La Condamine, Larvotto

#### Direct express bus, rail or road

The express bus serves several Monaco districts; rail is frequent but ends at an underground station with four named exits. Heavy luggage makes the final vertical leg decisive.

Monaco · Fontvieille

#### Helicopter, road or rail

The heliport is in Fontvieille. By rail, use the Fontvieille/Le Rocher exit rather than following the crowd towards Monte-Carlo.

Beausoleil

#### Rail to Monaco, then climb—or road to the address

Beausoleil is directly above Monaco but not served by Monaco station as a level arrival. Verify the specific uphill route with luggage before choosing rail.

Menton and the eastern rail corridor

#### Rail east from Nice Saint-Augustin

Join the coastal railway near the airport and travel past Monaco to the accommodation town. This keeps the arrival independent of Monaco road closures.

Reviewed airport relationships

### Three ordinary routes into Monaco.

These describe normal operating conditions. Race-week road restrictions and special services belong to the edition update page.

rail

#### Airport to Monaco by train

Tram from the terminals to the railway, then the coastal TER line into Monaco.

**Around sixty round trips a day between Nice and Monaco; the tourist office gives the Nice–Monaco run as 23 minutes.** A walk of under 500 m between Terminal 1 and the station, given as about 7 minutes. Tram lines 2 and B are free between Terminal 2, Terminal 1 and Grand-Arénas.

bus

#### Airport to Monaco by express bus

A direct regional express bus from the airport into Monaco, stopping across several districts rather than at one point.

**Roughly every 30 minutes, about 7am to 9pm. Monaco stops include Villa Paloma, the railway station, the Tourist Office, the Grimaldi Forum and Larvotto.** Departs the Terminal 1 bus station, Level 0, door A0.

road

#### Airport to Monaco by taxi

Official taxis from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 for the roughly 30 km by road.

**Monaco’s official taxi service operates flat-rate fares between the Principality and the airport.** The simplest option with heavy luggage, and the most exposed to motorway traffic.
