Which exit you use decides which district you arrive in — this is the single most useful thing to know about arriving in Monaco by train.\n\n- #### Monte-Carlo exit\n\n Monte-Carlo · Exotic Garden · Hospital area\n\n On the Pont Sainte-Dévote. Lift access for people with reduced mobility.\n\n Lift access for reduced mobility\n\n#### At the station\n\n- Car park\n- Taxi ranks\n- Monaco Tourist Office information point on the first floor, Monday to Saturday, 9am–5pm, all year\n\nOnce you are there\n\n### Two square kilometres, mostly vertical.\n\n#### On foot\n\nMonaco is about 2 km² and walkable end to end. The constraint is vertical, not horizontal.\n\nThe Principality maintains a network of public lifts, escalators and travelators precisely because of the gradients. Official figures for how many differ, so the guide describes the network rather than counting it.\n\n#### Bus\n\nThe Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco runs the Principality’s bus network.\n\nA dense regular network plus express and on-demand services across the districts, running biofuel and electric vehicles.\n\n#### Boat bus\n\nLine B of the urban network is a solar-electric boat across Port Hercule.\n\nIt crosses between Quai Antoine 1ᵉʳ and Quai des États-Unis in both directions — a shortcut on foot-days between the Rock and Monte-Carlo.\n\n#### MonaBike\n\nElectric bike hire from 49 stations around the Principality.\n\nGovernment-authorised on-demand electric bicycles.\n\n#### Taxi\n\nMonaco operates an official taxi service with flat-rate fares.\n\nUsed for journeys inside Monaco and between the Principality and Nice airport.\n\nPrivate transfers\n\n### Helicopter, jet\nand chauffeur.\n\nMonaco has no runway, and the heliport is the only arrival point inside the principality itself. Everything else lands you somewhere else and continues by road or rail — which is the part race week changes.\n\n#### Helicopter\n\nThe only way into Monaco itself rather than to a station or a motorway exit. The heliport is in Fontvieille, at the western end of the principality.\n\n**Race week** Fontvieille sits outside the circuit, so a heliport arrival does not cross the track — but reaching Monte-Carlo or Larvotto from it may, once the roads close.\n\n- [Monacair](<https://www.monacair.mc/>) Monaco ⇄ Nice Côte d’Azur\n\n Scheduled and charter helicopter transfers between Nice airport and Monaco heliport, plus private flights and tours.\n\n Advertises the Nice–Monaco transfer as around seven minutes.\n- Blade / private helicopter charter Nice and Monaco\n\n On-demand helicopter charter and transfers.\n\n#### Private aviation\n\nMonaco has no runway. Private aircraft use Nice Côte d’Azur, about 30 km west, and continue by helicopter, road or rail.\n\n**Race week** The onward leg is the part that changes during race week, not the flight.\n\n- [VistaJet](<https://www.vistajet.com/>) Global → Nice\n\n On-demand private jet charter into Nice Côte d’Azur.\n- [NetJets](<https://www.netjets.com/>) Global → Nice\n\n Fractional ownership and charter, into Nice Côte d’Azur.\n- [Sky Valet (Nice private terminal)](<https://www.skyvalet.com/>) Nice Côte d’Azur Airport\n\n Private-jet terminal and ground handling at Nice.\n\n#### Chauffeur and limousine\n\nDoor to door from Nice airport or along the coast, and the option most affected by the circuit.\n\n**Race week** A chauffeur cannot cross a closed circuit any more than a taxi can. From 06:00 on Thursday the drop-off point matters more than the car.\n\n- [Blacklane](<https://www.blacklane.com/>) Nice, Monaco and the coast\n\n App-booked chauffeur transfers, priced in advance rather than metered.\n- [Leader Limousines](<https://www.leaderlimousines.com/>) Monaco\n\n Private chauffeur service based in Monaco.\n- [DTLS Limousine & Travel](<https://www.dtlslimousine.com/>) Monaco and the Riviera\n\n Chauffeur service with destination-management and concierge arrangements alongside it.\n- [Starr Luxury Cars](<https://www.starrluxurycars.com/>) Monaco\n\n Chauffeured hire, with self-drive offered alongside it.\n- Monaco Prestige Limousines Monaco\n\n Chauffeur service and airport transfers.\n- VIP Limousines Monaco and Nice\n\n Event and airport chauffeur service.\n- Phoenix Limousine Monaco and Nice\n\n Chauffeur service.\n- Nice Airport official taxis and VTC Nice ⇄ Monaco\n\n The regulated taxi and private-hire ranks at Nice airport — the option that needs no booking.\n\n#### Cars for hire\n\nSelf-drive and chauffeured hire, listed for completeness. These are not a way of getting to Monaco — they are something to do once you are here.\n\n**Race week** Least useful of all during the weekend. The circuit closes the roads a car would use, and Monaco has no parking to spare while it is live.\n\n- [Elite Rent-a-Car](<https://www.eliterent.com/>) Monaco\n\n Prestige fleet, offered both self-drive and chauffeured.\n- [MC Luxury Rental](<https://www.luxury-rental-mc.com/>) Monaco and the Riviera\n\n Luxury vehicle rental, with Nice-airport transfers offered alongside.\n- [Edel & Stark](<https://www.edelstark.com/>) Monaco and Europe\n\n Supercar rental.\n- [Europe Luxury Cars](<https://www.europeluxurycars.com/>) Monaco\n\n Supercar hire.\n- [TOP CAR Monaco](<https://www.topcarmonaco.com/>) Monaco\n\n Prestige rental.\n- [Empera Rent](<https://www.emperarent.com/>) Monaco\n\n Exotic and supercar rental.\n- [AiLiL World Rent](<https://www.aililworldrent.com/>) Monaco\n\n Supercar fleet rental.\n- [Car4rent](<https://www.car4rent.fr/>) Monaco\n\n Luxury car rental.\n- [Luxury Rent Car](<https://www.luxury-rent-car.com/>) Monaco, including heliport delivery\n\n Supercar hire, delivered to the heliport among other points.\n- Classic-car hire (Riviera) The Riviera\n\n Vintage and classic car hire and tours, through local operators.\n\nAirport bus\n\n### Look for Monaco on the departure board.\n\n#### The airport express to Monaco\n\n- **Line 110, “Monaco Menton Express”** Aéroport Nice Côte d’Azur\n- **“Route 80 of the regional bus network”** Monaco Government Tourist Office\n\nRoute 80 may also appear under its older number, 110.
